Actually I meant HELL NO. That Viera thing needs to die in the same hole as that motorcycle hype (both of which Yoshi-P regrets having shown concept art/footage for).
Aside from being ugly as sin there's also nowhere it would fit in the lore. Moreover, you wouldn't even get what you're after.

Please cite your source where Yoshi says he regrets showing the Viera concept. I have only seen where he regrets showing the bike because that will never(his words) be added.
Last I saw him say about the Viera was that they were working on how to get the feet to work with footgear currently in the game.

Have you not been paying attention to the Return to Ivalice raid? The previously Ivalice-exclusive races of Seeq and Bangaa now canonically exist in FFXIV. It is no longer a remote stretch for them to add Viera to the game.

Ever notice that Miqo' te more often than not, are more vocal against Viera implementation? It's almost like they think they'll lose something should they be added into the game. Same for the calls for more bestial races, even after we have one thread (started by a cat g.i.r.l cause of coarse..) to unlock female Highlander underwear...

It's partly that reason I changed off of Miqo'te. The number of people I run into that dislike me solely for being a cat girl was unreal. The sheer number of insults and the amount of times I got told I was a boring unoriginal cat because, in their opinion, all cats look the same. You're entitled to your opinion but it would be nice to hear it without the insults, the kind that make you feel as if you're belittled for playing a particular race.

I remember one time I created a Miqo'te and asked a friend for feedback and instead of getting any constructive criticism, all I got was, "Ehh... it's another cat. They're all the same to me."
