    I am by no means a veteran hunter--I started towards the tail end of Heavensward when I ran out of things to do--but I can imagine even someone who started hunting from Day One of ARR must find the requirement of 2000 S-ranks for this mount to be punitive to the point of ridiculousness. I wouldn't mind one bit to see this halved (or even quartered!) given the speed with which ARR S-ranks die, once found. If I take into account the rate at which I currently accumulate S-rank kills, being a somewhat active (but not religious) huntress, it could take me upwards of TEN YEARS to attain this mount.

    I stand at 198/2000, and cast my vote in favour of having the requirements eased, please and thank you.

    Just out of curiosity, have you ever partook in S rank spawning? Because even with the window absolutely open for them, it can take that long just to try and spawn the bugger.
    Depends what you think qualifies. I've hit a few nodes, I've jumped off a few cliffs, I've caught a few fish, here and there.

    I don't dedicate myself to doing so however, because I'm not particularly keen on a system where I could be doing everything to make a mob spawn only to not actually know about it when it does, and get none of the rewards for doing so. That's like being that guy back in 2.x running off to do other FATEs to try to make your book FATE spawn faster, only for it to spawn and get killed by other people before you can make it back. No thanks.

    There's a collective sigh of relief in my linkshells when the last S rank is marked as dead on the tracker and everyone can go back to whatever it was they were doing, for the next couple of hours before the windows start opening again. Reducing the respawn window, especially by that much, sounds all too brutal to me XD
    Nobody says you have to be able to catch every S spawn. The majority of us (that aren't robots) don't, anyway.

    Could you say what is so unreasonable about a 6-8 hour respawn timer, considering the S ranks are only worth about a little over twice the rewards as an A rank as it is?

    I don't know how true this is, but I've heard some talk that certain mobs in the (are we ever going to get it?) Eureka content will count for S-rank and A-rank hunt kills. If that's true and they're farm-able in that zone, then those requirements probably make more sense in that context.

    Problem is, I don't know if that's even true, how farm-able it would be even if it is, and... will we get Eureka before we die of old age?

    Besides, if they lowered the respawn windows, they would have to do something about the requirements for some hunts. Like the ones that require leves as S Rank spawners burn through leves like crazy. I have burned through 60 leves before in ONE window on ONE hunt (Lampalagua) with no dice. Or hunts that spawn on moon phases. Or hunts that spawn on rain phases. Or hunts that spawn off of treasure chests which are heavily time and gil gated. Or Nuyunuwi and his one hour of unfailed FATES... Or the fact that some hunts will go 48 hours unspawned because the RNG on spawning is ass...

    I don't know about Hyperion, but even in Balmung we do not have enough S Rank spawners to ever keep up with something like that.

    Just let the hardcore hunters have their mount. It doesn't need to be nerfed, it's just something to work for if you really want it. There's no time limit or anything, just because you cant grind it out in a week doesn't make it poorly implemented.

    I'm new to the game, but one of the things I immediately picked up on was The Hunt. I've enjoyed it so far, and as a completionist I'd love to get these achievements.

    Realistically, that achievement is impossible without living in the game. Assuming you get 3-4 spawns every cycle, it would take real life years. That's not rational design.

    Please look into changing it.

    Its not that people want a challenge or something to work toward, its just that they want it to be as rare as possible so they can "look cool" on the mount. This 'Kardashian Syndrome' really needs to be cured. Everyone fine with this absurd level of RNG kills, or trying to argue its positives are suffering from the illness.

    I dont mind long grinds but when you put RNG behind it, it becomes less of a marathon to the finish line and more like being lucky on your next pull at the slot machine. Oh you were online at the right moment as the hunt spawned? You were the first one to arrive on the scene? Conglaturations, you win!

    Its not RNG. There are tons of resources you can use; hunt trackers for your server, hunt linkshells, etc. Its not rng just because people have been hunting longer than you and have more experience. Let the hunters have their fancy mount bragging rights just like the raiders/ gold saucer players have theirs.
