What New Color Of Dyes Would You Like To See?

Hi!

If you are anything like me you love to dye your gear to customize it to your character. Yet, sometimes, you just cannot find that one color you want. The dyes are too drab, too bright, too yellow, etc...

But just saying what new dyes we'd like to see is open to interpretation because people have different names for different colors.

So, I thought, why couldn't we show the developers what new colors we'd like to see added to the current set of dyes by posting pictures of them? That way, SE sees what we are asking for instead of making educated guesses.

What do you think? What new colors would you like to see added to the choices of dyes?

I don't know how I would describe them, but I would like to see a wider variety of less saturated colors/colors that blend in better with the world of FFXIV.

An actual red. Dalamud red is the closest you can get and it's still a bit too bright. An example of that perfect red would be the starlight coat from last year's event.

This. Honestly the red, yellow and purple shades are criminally underrepresented compared to the browns, greens and blues; which have at least twice the selections. There's been so many shades of purples and reds that I want to use to match the non-dyeable gear but are still missing.

But after all this time we finally got a metallic orange and yellow dye so it's all good right? Right?

That's 8 more shades of red and purple if they attempt to even the score with green/brown/blue. They're bound to get at least one right, I'd hope. Heck, none of the actual reds (or purples, and arguably the rest) are even the same shade as the color tab you go to.

I'd love some pastell colors, especially pink. Like a really, really light pink, nearly white. Like the first color on the left here:



Also: Red! Not that darkish Dalamund red, a lighter, more saturated red.

Metallic Black or something that make same effect when black cloths are with water effect.

I'd like more dyes which match undyeable parts of outfits so that I can mix and match gear without looking like a weird clown sometimes. And yes, just more reds, purples and yellows in general. Red is a particular horror since a lot of gear comes with red parts with no similar dye equivalent if you want to go full-on red. I only like Dalamud and Rolanberry red of the shades we have so far so there are plenty of bright red options that can be introduced to fill the gaps. Matching blacks is also harder than it ought to be; the black of the Taoist bottoms (which I adore) doesn't match Jet Black (or any other black) nicely on any gear I have tried to add to create a new style.

(Though I like metallic orange and yellow more than I thought I would.)
