I didn't mention the word 'story', in that part of my post. It was mostly referencing towards the adventures they added in Heart of Thorns (and subsequently, Path of Fire). No, at no point in GW2 you are forced to leave party to do solo duties, two people doing the story together at the same time can progress through solo duties together and it counts for both, there's no reason why 2 people playing together should be forced to disband and continue solo, that's poor game design.
Solo provides an environment in which you can experience and learn mechanics at your own pace without other players watching and criticizing everything you do. Solo very much has a place when learning.options are nice, if people are playing together they should get it done together. Most mmo don't make you do things alone. ff14 mostly the only mmo that does this. teaming up helps you build teamwork. solo does nothing to help you get better and is incredibly useful in getting better.
You don't even have to really care about damaging the boss, you just have to focus on the orbs.
If you had to kill lakshmi while stopping orbs alone would be a bit of a problem but all you do is run around spamming dispell near the orbs... Sprint at the end if you gotta
Thissssss. People were crying the RM was too hard for story mode, now people cant manage to pop bubbles? You don't even need to attack the boss for most of the fight- Spin camera, run to bubbles. Spin camera, run to more bubbles. If you cant manage this you've got to be dead weight in a dungeon ><Frankly I'm glad it's locking people out of future content, as I will no longer have to play with them. Anyone incapable of completing solo-story mode content is not someone who should be able to get into future dungeons/raids/trials. I mean really, you can't beat that? Come on. Do I need to go find the video of some guy playing the game with his feet?
I don't see why people are so against wanting help in a MSQ instance. This is an MMO after all. You all talk about keeping out the bad from the raids/dungeons but people forget a lot of those mechanics barely show up in the MSQ. Most of the MSQ is dodge this, fight that, sometimes it gets annoying depending on what class you are.
This is literally a move and spam one button situation... no attacking, no dodging.... move and press button... and they give you another Npc to help you alreadyI don't see why people are so against wanting help in a MSQ instance. I haven't done it yet. If it is really that easy, then I am confused at why some say it is difficult. Still some MSQ would be nice with a little help.
