Interesting point. I never really thought of it that way since Vril already introduced you to the duty command feature.
This is a level 70 quest. You should master your job and the game's mechanics by now.
If you insist on playing this game with the minimum effort possible, there's patches every 3 or 4 months, you have plenty of time to try and clear it.
I will too get old, and my reflexes will get bad, but I will never ask for a nerf because challenge with meaning (not stupidly hard) it's what makes a game worth it for me. This fight it's not ridiculously difficult if you know what you're doing.
First they complain Shinryu HM is hard and that they shouldn't lock story content behind PUGs, now they do a solo fight and again it's PLEASE NERF? Why do you even play the game? Just wait till you can pay to clear it.
While this makes sense, this fight doesn't require random abilities to clear it. It doesn't introduce major changes to the core gameplay. It's a fight, something you've been doing for hundreds of hours by now. If we had played Lord of Verminion since level 1, we would kind of expect it by now, and hopefully master it. The problem is when fights get nerfed, newbies don't struggle, and when a bit of challenge comes by they're unprepared to tackle it. As people have said, they don't need to one shot these.
The msq duty is, imo, well done, because will teach everyone to make some mechanic handling. It is not something savage but just the very basics, and this is good for the game itself.
Then, in the end, it is just ONE mechanic to follow.
Hint:
Kill bubbles at the spawn point. They will spawn together and with one hit you kill them all. If you let them advance you'll be forced to kill one by one and things goes difficult.
The MMO where the playerbase is arguing against allowing people to play together. Now I'm in awe.
I see people complaining it's ridiculous to have team content to proggress MSQ, and then I see this as well. They really can't please everyone...
WoW has solo scenarios for story and challenges. GW2 has some solo things (not specifically inside instances, but in the open world too). I remember SWTOR having solo instances for some of the story stuff, too (but then again, I haven't played that since way before it went F2P).
Just because it's an MMO, doesn't mean that it 100% requires people to play together, 100% of the time. There's nothing wrong with an MMO that has a solo instance here and there.
I wouldn't mind the option. It breaks the pace a bit for hubby and I when we're chugging along and then we have to disband to do our individual solo duties. Would be nice if we could do it together, since our aim is to play the game together.
No, at no point in GW2 you are forced to leave party to do solo duties, two people doing the story together at the same time can progress through solo duties together and it counts for both, there's no reason why 2 people playing together should be forced to disband and continue solo, that's poor game design.WoW has solo scenarios for story and challenges. Content tuned for soloing is fine, forbidding people from partying up is not, the option should always be there.

look up the term nerf before using it in a sentence. Not to be rude, but you guys need to stop being or acting like E's i see no nerfs being asked, just for forced solo content not be forced solo. that isn't a nerf but an option. all you guts come off rude as if what/how a person does solo content matters to you.
you can be the best player/gamer in the world and still have issues in something. take the E down a peg, it isn't needed. Stop acting like your some pro and scoff at suggestions for no reason outside of "git gud" or "oh no he asking for a nerf" or "solo content makes u better"
do you guys have a real reason why lifting the force solo is a bad idea. as in from a game play or server stand point. If not, please stop. not everyone who is good at the game enjoys forced solo.
