I will wait for an actual statement on how many wards he's adding plus what is being changed.

They probably asked for more wards because that seems to be the only thing that SE is willing to do. They obviously don't want to try and fix the underlying issues, so the only thing the playerbase can realisticly hope for is bandaid fixes until the problem has been bruteforced, or SE system crumbles under the problematic structures they've created for themselves.

Well...it could be worse. The developer and producer of our game could be Donald J. Trump! Seriously though, they need to fix this. Hopefully we don't get a band aid. My wounds are too deep and infected at this point for any band-aid intervention. Bring out the big guns.
Beware the lollipop of mediocrity; lick it once, and you'll suck forever.

Houses should have always been 1/account from the very start. They created this mess themselves by allowing otherwise.

More wards just so select few may have the chance.. ok
For the housing in Shirugane was my only chance as i usually must work when more wards are added, this time i took holiday and logged on time and was in a queue of 1700
Stop saying more wards is ok, we should be pushing them for better solutions like a mix of instanced and non instanced. Perhaps non instanced for FC and instanced for personal.

Players exactly are asking that EACH player and EACH FC (at least the "real one) are able to have a house.
In fact, i think most people dont care any about the way. The only things it matters is the final state. If the way is with 100 ward on each area... 4 more place with 50 ward each. instance, anything else. People will be ok.
OR Everyone can get happy if they want (and farm enough) => good
OR too much people cant have house because they are sold in less than 6 hours => bad.
Lets see what Yoshida will do, not what he says
Yoshida is good to apologize... He did more apologize than act to fix the issues.

Well, technicly speaking, adding more wards until there's no players left that can afford houses would solve the issue XD I don't think such a solution is practical, and might even be impossible, considering how much gil is likely floating around on each server =P But hey, it would be one hell of a gilsink^^

Well, every thread on the English speaking side has made mention of adding more amenities to apartments of a new instanced housing system along side the desire for more wards.
The only deal, and the releif, is that the producer has said he knows that the desire for housing was overall much greater than anticipated, and that they are taking our feedback to heart, but NOT going into details yet on the changes.
Quite frankly that last part is likely both so shitty players can't prep up for another round of house flipping and because it's likely way, way too soon on SE's end to have a concrete plan for the future beyond the whole, "We're adding more wards."
It's still good PR. But, no, nothing is fixed yet, nor will be soon, but they imply it's a priority and the apology was swift. That counts for something.

I am not sure why everyone is so thankful. There is no information yet on what they are doing, and people seem to forget that you are paying for this game. Content is gated behind a feature that the game pushes but doesn't provide. Rewards for other content is house items that most players can't use.
I will be hopeful that they will, in fact, work on this, however, I am just pointing out that they lost a lot of people's subs over this. Shouldn't take that to even look at a problem that we have been upset about for years.
So here is to hope.![]()
Yoshi knows the right solution. He just doesn't want to do it. Everyone knows the answer is to switch to full instances housing. Too much work involved? That's what you deserve for not thinking ahead. Now it's time to face the consequences. There is no way the current system is sustainable. Even now, it's not. Fact.
