banned? why would I get banned? lol. I played for 6yrs, and today is the first day I was trying to post on their forums.

• Have logged in to FINAL FANTASY XIV within the last 30 days (additional requirement)

Same Rule for FFXI Forum. And since you said you canceld your account LAST year, you obviously dont fit those requirements.

that's really not a ban. a ban usually is if i did something wrong on the forums or ingame which led them to "ban" my account to never be able to play the game again. (doing something against the terms of agreement)

anyway. thanks for all the replies everyone. the Steam Abyssea collection is tempting to buy for $10

The FFXI forum doesn't have the must have logged in in 30 days requirement. And this forum probably won't either once the service fees begin. That rule was only added here to prevent people who aren't playing from posting crap.

If you are able to access your PlayOnline account but you can't reactivate your characters, you'll need to go here http://www.playonline.com/ff11us/crs/ to restore your characters.

Also, as others have mentioned, you will need to transfer your POL ID into the Square Enix Account system. Character activation/deactivation is handled from your SE account now- the term 'content ID' is basically obsolete now.
