In Defence of Housing

I'm on the lowest pop server for NA and all large/medium houses were bought up preeeetty darn fast and I see people in PF asking to buy them on my server. So even if you move to a low pop, it doesn't really promise you anything except a better chance at getting the house.

Luckily, I was able to snag my dream plot (8/38) and my in-game hubby got 30/60. But we memorized our route, picked a ward we thought would be good and aimed for the subdivision, practiced the run, downloaded the patch 2 hours before the servers went live, logged in exactly the moment servers went up and gunned it for our plots.

Even though I got my house, I have to admit this is a broken system. Needs to be fixed. You shouldnt have to do all that I did and stress out about it for hours before the server goes live just to get a house.

Someone posted in another thread Midgardsormr, a preferred world, was sold out in less than ten minutes. Hard to transfer off servers the devs already deem struggling.

Your monthly sub grants you the ability to login. Nothing more.

You have no knowledge of any of the issues anyone else faced plus the time we spent to work hard for our gil to only be shafted by scalpers, client modifyers, FC lackey plot blocking scumbags and trade blockers.

If it grants me the ability to log in, why didn't the log in button work when it was supposed to? That has nothing to do with server. The button on the launcher for many simply lagged out so badly it never appeared. On top of that, NA servers are so crowded that even low pop servers sell out of lots in under 10 mins so moving isn't going to help. It isn't a matter of 'not having both' because the term low pop server for NA is still ridiculously high in terms of numbers compared to JP servers etc. Even by your logic, which going by the angsty teenager jab at the end, isn't serious anyroad, Square isn't living up to their end of the bargain.

Yes. Your sub should guarentee you housing - those without houses pay the same subscription as those who do have a house, despite being locked out of a chunk of content.

following the same logic, Your sub should also guarantee your relic weapon, end raid gear, all mounts, prizes and everything avaiable in the game since you pay the same subscription as those who have all these things.

You can simply go get enough gil to buy off one of the scalpers. It's really not that hard.

So it's not really stopping you.
