People may say well you are on Balmung, truth of the matter is servers are crap, housing implementation was junk. Everyone across all servers is having isues.
I do sympathy with you as i have been trying since housing was first introduced to get a house.

This is honestly the last straw. I’m not going to resubscribe next month, unless they announce enough housing for everyone on my server. I was already in a rut, because my inventory kept clogging up, due to a bad retainer storage system, that seriously needs to be simplified, but no. I can’t apparently keep all my old stuff from the past two eras, and nor can I get a house. Ugh.

Yeah it's not just Balmung. I play on Midgardsormr which is a preferred realm (so by SE's own definition, not enough players)... but all the houses are gone. People in my FC are pretty ticked because they tried to log in immediately after maintenance but got errors/dcs and everything was gone once the game decided to let them log in.

I wouldn't even be that upset if I had just been too slow, but no, the login button on my launcher 100% would not work for 10 minutes when the game came back up, by the time I got it to work, I was 1500th in queue, and every single house on the entire server was gone by the time I got in.

Just got completely shafted completely beyond my control. Ugh.

I spent months for gaining (honestly) 60M of gil, I logged and I was kicked out from the server, and when finally I re-logged (after a long queue) every house was gone.
If developers don't understand the point, I go elsewhere, my cash $$$ is accepted worldwide.

Today was the first time I ever thought about canceling my sub and not looking back. Me and my FC, a small group of my friends, saved up enough money for each of us to buy a Large house. Don't get me wrong, we didn't WANT 4 mansions. We wanted each of us to have 45m to maximize our chances of getting one. I'm nocturnal, and the other 3 set alarms to wake up in time for it.

We didn't get defeated by someone who ran faster.
We didn't get defeated by the queue.
We didn't get defeated by "unable to complete housing action."

What did we get defeated by? A piece of garbage launcher that completely broke at 2:58 AM PDT, and didn't work until 3:03 AM.

Do yourselves a favor and don't even advertise or hype up your housing in the future, SE. It's a disgusting system that encourages so much negativity, so much direct competition, and the slap in the face is that your server load can't even handle the demand that is created by having so little amounts.

Please look at how other MMOs handle housing.

Had the same issue. Logged in, got a lobby error, client crashed full. Had to retype password and token key - then for a good 5 mins couldn't even get the launcher to do anything. When I finally did, it lobby error me again, 3k que. Even before like the 5 min mark of the launcher issue, Balmung housing was cleaned out.
