I want to share my hatred for Alphinaud Leveilleur

Alphinaud is a lot better than Minfilia though.
Minfilia always looked pretty behind the desk but barely steped outside the room.
While Alphinaud walked around all over the places and he was there with us in 3.0 openning.
The boy shed sweats and tears far more minfilia ever did.
That's count for the effort,right ?

Nah, Minfillia is by far still the most useless character. Alphinaud isn't lacking that far behind.
I love it so much when Alisaie laughs/talks bad about him, like his inability to swim.
Alphinaud feels overly dramatic, especially when he got so overly upset over Estinien's injury when there wasn't much interaction shown between them in the first place. Like when and how did the bromance formed and developed? I'm all for it but don't just make it appear outta nowhere.
And when his Crystal Braves got screwed over, he took it so hard. Sure your project failed and your pride took a huge hit, but please man up and stop moping about it for SEVERAL patches.
I dislike how he's always trying to be politically correct when his sister is just like "-sarcasm sarcasm sarcasm-"

never seen such a huge cespool of overexaggeration yeezus, as I understand it alph is the direct contradiction of her sister, he's supposed to be that way for a reason, both children born offspring of no one other than the freaking man that one punched bamahut into oblivion, his expectation are high as human bein he can't just kik back and do nothing having such a strong lineage. on top of that putting yourself on his shoes, he's a child surrounded by powerful adults who fight,war,gods,legions and the freaking multiverse. there's a lot of preasure for someone so young but he can't back out again because off who his is. As someone pointed out I see alph as a child heavily influence by the warrior of light he spend a lot of time with us and his attitude is no longer that of a kid but a kid trying to be an adult, not from choice but from experience and situation. He can be annoying but he's just a child seriusly trying.

completely different from minfilia who was just a useless pretty face that sq had to make her a puppet in order to give her revelant because it was the most useless waste of voice actor in this game. And honestly Lyse to me is even worse, because not only she is useless, she screams like an angry jackal every changes she get and steal the spotlight worse than minfilia did.

I use English, husband uses Japanese. We both hate him equally. Alphinaud is the WORST, with Lyse and Manfillia tied for 2nd.

Even if he is that way for a reason to me it doesn't make him more tolerable. I even dare to say that I doubt SE really had the idea to make him annoying. I feel like it is not the same writers who are working on FF XIV then on other final fantasy games. In the series they are usualy good at making memorable character. In FF XIV it feel like many main story characters are either useless or annoying.

The only way I could possibly dislike him any more than I already do would be if he would turn into a lala.

His sister, on the other hand is awesome. Lyse turned out to be so much better than I thought she would be and I am fond of Min, but that's mostly due to my 1.x experience.

I actually dislike him so much I even skipped over his talking bits this expac.
