I want to share my hatred for Alphinaud Leveilleur

I don't mind him anymore now that he's the butt of pretty much every joke and got knocked down from his pedestal. I'm just praying they don't make the same mistake with Lyse that they did with him, but given the state of her character at the end of the first patch cycle I'm not very optimistic.

Eh, he's a pretty decent character IMO, and gets some good development in HW. Minfilia was the one I couldn't relate to.

He's not my favorite character but I don't hate him either. To be fair it's not like we can talk for ourselves much or really get to express our opinions, so he has to do it on our behalf.

He hasn't been acting like a leader since the end of ARR, he's pretty chill in the entire HW and SB story, he's still a strategist so that's not gonna change, but it went from him bossing around forcing his plans to him just offering his view like any regular comrade, backing off if people dont like his plans. No reason to hate him after ARR tbh.

If we're talking about worst leaders, Minfilia is right up there. I'm not his biggest fan, but hey, at least he's doing something. Minfilia on the other hand...well...yeah...

Duno bought a charatcer upgrade so I'm kinda doing a cinematic marathon and seeing him in scene for an hour or so was painfull.

Also I'm a french speaker and I feel they just made this character as gay as possible and then gave him some kind of french name alike.

Gotta say I like Alphanerd- well pre-SB. He got on my nerves during ARR, but toward the end of it, he really grew on me. SB destroyed him and Alisaie (?) for me, however. Alisaie devolved into "hey look at me I'm better than my brother blah blah" and Alphanerd devolved into I don't even know what...

I had this discussion with a French player once in a dungeon. He was telling me what the name of an NPC meant in French. He wasn't aware that all Elezen are given French(-like) names.

Well basicaly if Leveilleur would be spelled in 2 words @Le veilleur@ it meant either @the one who's go to bed late@(kinda) or @the watchman@(most likely come from this one), but well most French name do not have a meaning anymore and spelling got changed overtime and Leveilleur just happen to be a last name that exist in french.
