Huh. Well that's an interesting case to run into.
Copperbell in leveling roulette. LNC WHM and GLD, latter 2 labeled French.
Me and the LNC start suspecting the tank of being a bot (all the usual, Riot Blade only with maybe a Flash at the start, running back to previously traveled areas, no response to chat, all the Tactician and Refresh in the world couldn't keep mobs off my back, etc.).

I go hmm he seems very bot-y. Maybe we should kick. WHM pipes up "non he my amigo". ...And then the GLD actually says something in /say. He somehow wasn't a bot!
Now after we asked the WHM to tell him to do more enmity stuff (after trying with autotranslate myself but getting ignored)... He actually did! He could even keep the last boss off my back after just one Tactician too.
For once, I'll have to admit, I was too hasty in concluding someone was a bot. Glad he didn't get kicked, I hope he keeps getting better.

But honestly, this is specifically the reason I wasn't happy with leveling roulette having language grouping disabled. I want to help new players learn, but can't because the autotranslate still kinda sucks, and now I get grouped with people I can't talk to (not that I could always do that before, with all the French people queuing with E enabled even when not speaking it, but it was lesser back then).

Anyway, I also learnt that Alphinaud in Sirensong Sea heals party members for 8k a pop. Can we like, just have him with us for the entire dungeon?

As for the Bardam today...
Samurai. On the last boss, I, a barely competent Bard, have more enmity than this bugger. After using Refresh. No diversion on his side either. And both in Shire gear. It wasn't the Astro's cards making a difference either, he was eating them all himself. :P
On the big pull before the last boss (butterflies and turtle and bots). I was telling him to
"Please AoE when there are that many. More than just Tenka Goken."
"Yeah I did."
Suuuuure. I'd just like an explanation for why that TP bar never dipped below 900. I was watching too, to use Tactician. But no, had to use it for myself, after already Invigorating...

I can understand why the tank noped out of there as soon as we finished.

Come to think of it, this BLM was also wearing Shisui gear.

Tried to politely ask a PLD in Tam Tara NM to [Flash] more than once.
They yelled at me for not healing enough.

Sure, buddy, I'll get right on that. As a BLM. No problem.

just out of a temple of the fist run with a blm who refused to use fire iv bc they claimed to be "lazy" and there was "too much moving around."

also queued in prog on my war for leveling, got aery. the pt was at nidhogg already and having a conversation directed at the healer and how they weren't happy with their performance. I quickly checked their gear and there were bits of lvl50-55 gear (mostly 50), a lvl47 ring and... a yokai watch!

Ran a Trial Roulette, got Bismark. I...didn't think we, as a community had trouble with this fight anymore. I mean, yeah, I get it, it's a fight that you need to know mechanics of, but...like, it's old content. There wasn't a first time bonus or anything, so people had to know what was going on, but I was the only activating the dragonkillers. I just...I don't know.

So, I have a new story today. Was running Toto Rak on an alt for story. Tank and healer were apparently together. Tank charged forwards without checking to see if people were catching up. Healer went full-ham DPS, and had to rez the tank at least once. Not only that, but he healed ONLY the tank when he could be bothered. DPS was new, and aside from early pulling second boss, he was doing alright. Then we hit the last boss, and tank and healer didn't even wait.

The guy was still in his cutscene by the time I skipped and probably didn't even realize the boss was pulled, so I stayed back. Naturally both 'pro' players wiped. DPS rightfully called them out, only to get hit with a vote-kick which unfortunately went through. So I called them out for being jackasses the whole run and nope'd out of there.

Now, Meridianum and Praetorium I can understand rushing ahead. I made my peace with that mess a long time ago. But story stuff before that? No. That's where I put my foot down. If the Archer from that run is reading this, you shouldn't have had to go through that.

Edit: I derped and said the wrong dungeon. It was Toto Rak, not Tam Tara. Still stand by what I said though.
