You can turn down and mute character voices in the sound side of the options.

The thing I noticed with both Bard and Machinist is that they use the same vocal clip over and over and over, and it's the loudest, snappiest shout option each voice has.

This voice OP posted doesn't bother me at all, but with rangers seemingly spamming it, it get's teeth scratching bad. The voice on my old Midlander girl drove me up the wall while playing MCH after a while. Fires gun, "HOH!" Fires gun, "HOH!" for more than an hour and I had to switch jobs for a bit. It was grating, but I liked the lower cadence of the voice otherwise. :/

I don't think deleting an annoying voice is fair since the players in question that use it likely enjoy the other 15 vocal clips attached to that option.

I think a better trade-off would be to have them mix up the single shout clip used or lower it's frequency.

(How much kick do those rifles have if our peeps are screaming whenever they fire them, anyway?)

I disabled voices purely because of this, now I'm totally thrown off when mechanics use voices because I usually use them as a trigger for mechanic prep, or dealing with a mechanic, such as "Daughter, be the bearer of my wisdom" when Sophia's head jumps to some place in the arena. I also liked the combat voices my Roe did. :/

All the voice clips on that voice are as bad as each other, and as obnoxious as each other. We really just need a mute option for this voice, and a few of the female Lalafell voices, which I believe share with female Miqo'te as well.

Should be the Player Effects Volume in sound settings. Not able to go in game to check.

I do not think people like the combat sound, I asked a few, I was told they picked it for the laugh or something, that is what they like, not this wind noise, it is not even a combat voice

I'm not a particular fan of that voice myself, but it's a bit presumptuous of you to assume that no one likes that voice, out of the millions who play this game around the world.

there on the bottom. 2nd 2 sliders will let you turn off other peoples voices and effects.
