I disabled voices purely because of this, now I'm totally thrown off when mechanics use voices because I usually use them as a trigger for mechanic prep, or dealing with a mechanic, such as "Daughter, be the bearer of my wisdom" when Sophia's head jumps to some place in the arena. I also liked the combat voices my Roe did. :/

I think a better trade-off would be to have them mix up the single shout clip used or lower it's frequency.

All the voice clips on that voice are as bad as each other, and as obnoxious as each other. We really just need a mute option for this voice, and a few of the female Lalafell voices, which I believe share with female Miqo'te as well.

Yeah, Lalas have some really squeaky options. I went for one of the three "normal," lower voices (I think Elf girls share it) that Lala ladies have access to. It tends to startle people when Linana laughs since she doesn't squeak.

I think I've complained before, but this part of that trope in JP voice acting of girls with high pitched voices being a "cute" quality, while western media considers high pitched voices "annoying." So, YMMV.
