I have no doubt they will put out more male glamours, but people have this tendency to whine every single time a female glamour is put out about how their is no male equivalent, seriously just stop. fyi, robes and dresses are the same thing: long piece of fabric that covers top + bottom. Just because you call one a robe and one a dress because extra frills means its FUR GURLS doesn't make it so.

One of the reason they will never see money from me in the Store, its ridiclious especilay with event items, instead of bringing them back each year and maybe put them in the store after 2-3 years instead right away as soon one year is over.
People defending this i can't understand about them "wasting resources" on a male counterpart and such, because they are lazy with events and simliar things already, which are like a 10 minute thing, event over.

And with such, instead put it where it belongs, the Dungeons or Raids or in this case Palace of the Dead to make them more interessting to run trough, which i admit i never liked PotD, its boring and tedous for me, they sohuld make better use of such. We do pay enough for subscription and retainers already, i don't see why i sohuld keep buying such aswell, i never did and never will, if they continue this way, they will loose a big playerbase, having enough of games trying to rob you despite doing well, we talk about Square Enix and not some unknown developer lifing from only one game.

SE, do yourself a favor and stop this, it does not you or the community any good. Personal opinion, if this goes dwon like it, i won't be sad leaving this game and moving on, because even some Free to Play games do this better then your Mogstation stuff.

Honestly, that would be really cool. Again, Edda has a super cool design imo, and making a male version would be just as good as female one. The elegance and frilly-ness can certainly outdo any tuxedo-like outfits we already have.
Sorta off-topic, but I also think making gear similar to raid bosses would be a nice touch too. Like Lakishima/Susano gear outfits, either just for glam purposes or actual class gear. Idk, I just personally love the idea of making all sorts of neat gear that has flexibility for everyone involved so no one feels left out. It's good stuff for group photos if people want to match lol.

I think when they acknowledge the fact that there is more female-exclusive glamour and still release even more female-exclusive glamour, it's a bit shady.

If you need some other points where you can attempt to get your voice through, then I would recommend to visit reddit frequently and see if there are any journalists that have a upcoming interview with developers and go ask your question/feedback in that thread. The other might be the live letter questionare, but best you have some backup for this to put some weight into those likes, which may consider those guys to bring up that topic on stream. If you need help, hell yeah, I add my votes and likes to the pile in order to get it addressed.

I believe it was actually in an interview where Yoshi was originally pressed for why males got less glamours/females got exclusives and unisex male sets. The 2.0 Scion sets were the apparently the answer, and its obvious they were all thrown out to fluff up the numbers. All these years later, the bunny suit is still asked for in Q&As (across different languages and regions!) and apparently is still stuck in priority limbo.

I have a male character and a female character that I keep fully geared. I just want both my virtual Barbies to have big wardrobes so I can dress them up nice and pretty.

I don't really like the glamour that much. BUT... I did notice as I'm sure the company -SE- did that it was a "requested item" by the community.

For me it should be a reward for X amount of runs or whatever level from palace of the dead. That is where it should be .. as for example Odins mount should have been a reward for X amount of kills or whatever u would like to do it regarding that FATE.

What I'm trying to say is.. I do really like this game but these things for me rub me the wrong way. I'm not against mogstation, but some items that are important lore wise in game or appear in consistently in game should be rewarded in a game that is sub based. It is difficult to explain where the line should be drawn.. but I know majority of you know what I'm talking about.

Can we stop with these 'facts' which are based on nothing more than personal opinion? I have shown a slide hosted by S-E about a census run by S-E showing that S-E believes there's a 50:50 split in Japan, while the split in other regions goes one way in NA and the other in EU. Evidence that back before they started treating male characters like they weren't wanted, at least, the market sizes were equivalent (and actually, it shows more male characters in NA, which, I believe, has a larger FFXIV population than EU or did at the time, meaning that male characters are actually the majority). You have people here in this very thread willing to endure the ridiculous barbs about 'men in dresses!' and personal attacks in order to say they wish the developers were less biased about this issue. There are even some players with female characters who are on this side, because they have empathy, because they want some of the male-only items themselves, or because they can see that favouring a certain group isn't always going to work in their favour.

Then let's look at the forum here. There are threads in multiple languages complaining about this issue and there have been since it first appeared. The thread "Until SE makes male and female glamours equal..." was only started five months ago and it already has more than 77,000 views, demonstrating that there's more interest in this from forum-goers than in things like "Return to Ivalice" Stormblood's 24 Man Raid" or "A consern about space efficieny since stormblood is not getting enough space increase" and even more interest than "Request to unlock Hempen set styles", a glamour issue which affects players of all character genders/races. Everyone is sick of the guys complaining about this, because it is a problem.

The evidence to counter our stance is just anecdotal or mumblings about how other Asian PC games aimed at completely different demographics pander to male gamers wanting to dress their female characters up, therefore FFXIV is the same. FFXIV is not the same, or at least it never used to be.

Please stop talking down to us unless you're bringing some relevant information which is actually new to the debate; saying something in an assertive way doesn't make it any more true than it was when it was first made up. Thanks!

Because every weapon is tied to a class. You change classes by switching to the weapon that it's tied to. There's no class that has multiple weapons tied to it, therefore it wouldn't be possible to make a weapon that has multiple different classes on it.

SCH/SMN books??? Only the crystal really matter when you have a job, the weapon can be anything.
