Well judging by the vast amount of FATEs that speak of the consuming of Lala's,,I'd have to say they must be quite tasty.

Try braising the lalafel until tender. Brings out the flavor.

Still, they're little better than appetisers, and they are prone to biting, so you have to club them over the head first. There's less risk and a better reward if you cook up a nice juicy miqo'te instead. All you generally need to do is get them drunk on wine beforehand, and doing so adds a great flavor for a really low effort.
