I am done with this. If you guys cant be bothered to read enough of my posts to understand them then that's on you. You overreacted to a situation that wasted a few minutes of your time, I pointed it out and wished you well. If that "triggers" you then I apologize.

That ugliness aside I actually got to give healer advice to someone who listened!

I got Royal Menagerie for Trial Roulette and with a brand new AST. Two of our DPS were new as well and we had no SMN or RDM so I was prepared to do a lot of raising. We wound up wiping during the add phase because people were standing practically on the impact points so it was just the tanks and I killing adds with a MNK.

I stuck on my triangle marker to follow me and asked my cohealer to just heal and do her cards because I noticed the first time she died was during a Gravity cast.

She was actually a good shield healer (I later found out she mained SCH in HW like me) and with all those shields up I could throw up basic advice on mechanics as they came up. Between the basic "follow the triangle marker" and more detailed advice as things arose we had one of my first RM runs so far with zero deaths.

We chatted for a while afterwords and she told me she was so psyched out by what people had told her about RM she thought she was never making it through. I gave her AST pointers in my minimal AST knowledge and we found out we were both from Zalera so I added her when we got out.

As healers we contributed probably less DPS that run than I do alone in a normal RM but still cleared right after the second tidal wave. It was nice to help someone get a clear they were so anxious about and I think I really helped her. Good job buddy! Keep up you Balance streak!

I haven't been anywhere close to triggered. Mildly annoyed about my original post, sure. But triggered? Negative on that one.

Kicked out tank who refused to tank. Even thought it was a 4 man.

Kicked healer who said they liked to challenge themselves by letting tank hp get as low as possible before healing. We wiped like 8 times.

A Tank who refuses to tank should not play a Tank class in the first place.

As for the healer, isn't that a little too much? I mean, something like one to three attempts per dungeon runs if the healers can choose. Healers and Tanks shouldn't be so persistent in attempting things out, especially when he/she already fails 3 times in a single instance. There's another chance to practice for another instance to improve themselves.

Co-healer apparently had massive internet problems and ended up disconnecting very early into O1 normal. With both tanks DPS stancing their way through, I came to discover that the fight is a lot more interesting to solo heal than it is to duo heal.

I got to enjoy a mini heart attack every time Charbydis came out. Ultimately it was still pretty easy to heal, but I actually had fun doing it for once.

Running through the Heavensward story line quests and had to do a dungeon. (Forgot the name) but i went in as my samurai and my buddy went in as a SCH. Tank blasts off from the start not waiting for the protect. anyway this tank takes off. he is a warrior if i remember correctly. gather first mob and proceeds to the second. he wants big pulls. my friend was still learning his SCH class as we both bought the job level boosts. he is a decent enough healer just wasnt prepared for the big pulls. and when we wiped on silly mob pulls because tank was trying to be a hero and take every single aoe that was thrown at us my buddy finally left after the tank said. "whats your problem healer cant handle my pulls??" and proceeded to pull a huge lot again. instead of slowing it down a touch so we could get the completion. so we left. wiated our 20 min i switched to DRK and we breezed through the dungeon in no time flat with 0 wipes and 0 people even going down.

I'm shadewalking the main tank during my opener like usual. The OT mechanic however, seems to like me on the second go around, ebcause I passed the off tank in enmity. I of course am now trying to dps, while at the same doing, doing the OT mechanic. We wipe. I bring it up. I'm told my dps sucks and I should be using Shadewalker.

Like bruh. I used it right when Lacksmi showed up. If my damage be bad, why're you having so much touble staying ahead of me? :P

Today, on levelling roulette:

First attempt, Cutter's Cry. lv46 WHM asks that we do a full run, I beg that this does not happen as I'd like to finish some time this century. The tank agrees that they'd rather not, and we do the run normally and they moan a little... until we get to the part where you totally skip the mobs before the second boss.

They're really unhappy about this. Like super upset. We all die on the second boss because the WHM doesn't know what esuna is and stands right in the middle of all the bad while typing out yet more complaints to the tank, then dc's on the second pull of the boss. We kick them, then everyone else leaves. It is now 3:20pm and roulettes refresh at 4.

I queue back in, with my partner on tank, and get Doma Castle. Thank god, this is at-level and I'll get decent exp from it. Things are dying really, REALLY slowly, and on boss 1 I realise the bard hasn't used a single song. At all. The healer isn't dpsing aside from aero2 and assize, but we discuss it and they've only been playing like 15 days, so I'm mostly impressed they're dpsing at all.

I ask the bard for songs, and... They tell me to stop being a crybaby and manage my tp.

What?

Who has been playing for this long and hasn't realised that bard songs have fundamentally changed? I just wanted the crit buff, not to mention for things to actually die at a reasonable pace because they don't appear to understand anything about bard.

They DC. They are kicked, a blm replaces. We finish the dungeon, I die twice because karma's an ass and I stood in some really stupid stuff and the whm laughs at me, it's very deserved.

It is now 3:40pm. EXPERT ROULETTE.

It's temple of the fist, with two melee dps. The mnk says "let's try finish before reset!", the sam is dead. silent. I'm playing WHM now, my partner still tanking. We're both pretty geared in these roles so we're like sod it, let's do the huge pulls and hope these dps know how to aoe.

IT WAS AMAZING.

There were goads everywhere, dps aoeing like mad, trash dying like it had the plague, WE KILLED ARBUDA SO FAST SHE SAID "IMPRESSIVE INDEED!" I DIDNT EVEN KNOW SHE COULD SAY THAT.

We finished at 3:55pm. I feel like I just experienced the greatest DF ex roulette I will ever run in my entire life. I wish I could've commed both those melee.

The OT needs to provoke and shirk. Not your fault at all.

A few minutes ago, I got out of Ala Mhigo. The paladin used Hallowed Ground almost right away against the very first enemies. Later, when we were dealing with the roaders, I got killed because of the extra enemy soldiers and our paladin not hitting them with Flash or something. The red mage Verraised me, though. We also had a machinist who basically did nothing wrong ever (but I also don't know how to play machinist).

Anyway, against the enemies right after the first boss, we wipe because the paladin runs ahead and dies before I can catch up and heal. She apologies a second time and claims she's tired and it's 4 AM or so in the morning for her.

It's important to note that I haven't taken offense to anything, and being tired does explain her bad plays. I don't really have a problem at this point.

We get to the end, defeat Zenos yae Galvus, and the paladin says she gave her commendation to the machinist. This is where I was like, "Um, what? Why would you say that?" in my head. I don't have a problem with him getting the commendation; heck, I gave him mine. He didn't die or really do anything wrong. I don't think he even spoke. But I also think it's bad form to say who got your commendation unless there was something really out of the ordinary. The only thing that happened on this run that fit that description was our tank was too tired to play the game.

Doing Brayflox to level up my WHM. It's a relatively normal run until the water-y part. The tank may as well have just pulled everything in the area tbh. The tank was taking so much damage as was everyone else, but somehow I managed to pull us through.

I'm thinking "god that was really scary" but at the same time I'm kinda pleased with myself for keeping everyone alive.

We make it to the end. I get no comms.
