Please fix Healer Chocobo's priorities

Chocobo's AI is annoying but if you set it to healer stance,it should be enough to keep you alive even you soloing boss Fate.
As long as you don't get hit with any AOE.
But if somehow you're still dead,I think you're under level for that Fate.
I hope you didn't try to solo big boss fate though.(30 mins boss fate).

If I'm fighting something and my chocobo can't heal me, then it's a clear sign I need to grab friends to fight this mob or get better gear.

Think you just need to level up the chocobo skills. Mine is think at rank 19 and it hardly ever dies and always keeps me fully healed and its self. It last longer in the new A and S ranks hunts than a lot healers do from attacks. You might just got chocobo that's lazy. Also be nice if chocobo would heal summoners egi to since don't have sustain anymore.

As someone who has also died many a time due to their chocobo having shitty "gambits" that we can't change without completely stripping the offending abilities from the chocobo via Reagan Pepper, I concur with this. Choco Surge in particular has killed me so, so many times.

Healer stance making it follow you is also stupid and I have no idea why that's a thing. If they absolutely must make healer stance stop the chocobo's attacks the least they could do is make it so that they back away from the fight instead of eating all of the AoEs that you successfully dodge. As pointed out, all this accomplishes is letting the chocobo rack up damage and eventually forcing it to heal itself instead of you, which defeats the whole purpose of the stance.

Fix : don't rely on a bird to do a healers job.

Addendum : adjust your play to reflect a more limited healer if you do rely on your chocobo.

Additional addendum: try not to get too mad at your bird, lest they give the you the bird in return...
