I had a terrrrible leveling roulette yesterday, or maybe I was too sensitive. I loaded into Gubal NM on my PLD with a WHM, BLM, and SAM. First pull, went a little slow, and I didn't see any holy.. checked cast bars and saw the WHM wasn't dpsing. My HP stayed up, so I figured hey, I can just pull two groups if they want to heal only. I noticed also that the BLM used Blizzard 3 four times in a row while taking down the last monster, but thought maybe he was just thinking the mob would die quicker and didn't want to be left in astral fire.

So I pulled the next two groups and diligently cycled CDs, starting with heavy ones.. and noticed the BLM was still only using B3.. and the WHM decided to Medica, plus I did not have regen. My HP kept going lower and lower, and the WHM didn't throw bene or tetra. I tried clemency, but didn't make it in time, so I died. WHM ressed, I accepted, they died, so I ran back to them.

In killing the mobs that I drug, I did see the WHM casting Cure 2, but my HP was still low enough that I was healing myself. I think they were maybe healing someone else? They had a lot of 270 gear, so it's not like they were really undergeared. I asked the BLM if they knew their rotation and they said nothing.. kept with B3 and ran off once the last mob died.

I told them I wasn't going to put up with that, wished them luck, and ate the penalty. Didn't feel like asking the WHM what was up, either. Queued again later and had a smooth as butter Sirensong Sea run.

I do feel my words were a little short and could have been softer, plus I could have asked if bigger pulls were ok. But, the healing on the first pull seemed fine and it's not like the WHM ran out of MP, so no idea why they just essentially sat there and watched me die.

On comms, I give it to the nicest person. Usually the only one says hello back. Or if someone is new, they get it. I don't worry about them too much. And always comm. Unless everyone was an asshat. But that's actually pretty rare.

Anyway on that topic, this DRK I got in leveling roulette today was a trip. It was Halatali and first thing he says is, "Great no Grit". I understand, it sucks. But almost immediately started demanding Protect. He pulled the first group and I started using Scatter. He asked what I was doing. It's a new and its Halatali, probably never seen it. We keep going, he starts getting onto me about trying to tank. I wasn't, I was using my enmity reducing skills too. Then he said, you don't have Vercure so stop trying to tank. Wait, he knows Vercure? I looked at his search info. He had a Lv70 RDM and didn't know what Scatter was. Well we got to the chains and he didn't pull and was expecting one of us to do it and called us bots. It's been awhile, but don't tanks usually get them in case adds show up? Anyway, after that we kicked him. Got a new tank and finished the dungeon.

I was healing the Sunken Temple of Qarn as a White Mage.

We had a very squishy tank so I decided to use Fluid Aura when I could to reduce damage on him since I couldn't DPS at all otherwise, and he was melting like a stick of butter.

He immediately threw a tantrum together with his buddy, demanded I stopped and claimed it was messing up his rotation.

Now as far as I know, at that level rotations are either 1-2 or -1-2-3. Shield Lob was never required on the targets since it didn't make him lose aggro.

This tank stopped taking mobs I got aggro off and stopped using flash for aoe pulls just so I got aggro.
It got to a point where I had full aggro and he and his friend just walked off because it was me who had aggro and not them.

He ended up continuing his tantrum till the golem boss, at which he sat down and refuses to enter until I swore I would stop using it. I never gave in and he sat there for a good hour or so while I played on my phone and made some food.

IMO, I think you could have reported the tank or kicked him. I believe what he was doing (not entering until you decide to not use fluid aura) was pretty much disrupting gameplay.

Actually, I'm almost glad he didn't. The moron tank wasted a full hour while the OP played on his phone. If he had been kicked, he would have had an instant requeue.

I tend to just leave instances now if everything is fairly normal.

But sometimes, when the planets align, I get matched with lady Roe Warriors who are basically goddesses. They take no damage, while swapping stance back and forth for holy spam chain pulls, never lose aggro, and use every single ability they have. All they need is a regen.

Inspirational. Instant comm.

I wish I could post these with the names.
Sad thing is this guy had 70 mnk already.
I was doing more than double his dmg and he pretty much failed every single mechanic in the dungeon.

Oh I did report him afterwards though. I didn't want to kick because it would hurt me more than it hurts them considering it wasn't even close to the exit.

If I was in the run I would of kicked the healer. You just do not use a move like fluid aura in a dungeon because it screws up positioning for AoE. Especially in a dungeon like sunken temple of qarn because you have to position certain mobs in certain areas to progress in the first place.

Also what is to say that the "moron tank" was not also playing on his phone? The two got into a anger contest over something you simply do not do in a dungeon excluding any particular instance where you have a set of mobs that include two or more ranged mobs that cannot be conventionally gathered easily with the rest of the pull and thus the use of a knockback ability can put the ranged mobs on top of each other for the pull.

What the healer was doing was disrupting gameplay, just like the tank, and the healer is the one who started it.
