The Party List blocked the Limit Break button, I have since moved it from my hotbars to the right side. One user suggested I should change classes. I had the user reported and blacklisted as a result.

Wait, you reported and blacklisted someone for simply suggesting you change classes? That's...umm....could you provide context on what happened?

I had a run in the sunken temple of Qarn ages back. We started the run quite well until we got to the bees. I was tanking at the time and for some reason the dps weren't killing the bees quick enough. The white mage said and i quote: "Bee kill skill" I went "What?" "Bee kill skill" I had no idea what this person was referring to. But then i died. And then he replied: "Noob bee skill kill bee." ( Think he was referring to the final sting ability.)

And i ignored.. continued the fight. Then we got further into the dungeon. Reached another pack of bees! Died again. Then the healer said: "Omg no heal tank" Keep in mind this white mage was just spamming cure II over and over, contributing nothing to the overall dps. I stunned the bees over and over until they became immune to stuns and it was still awful. Once the healer left, the dps followed and i did a quick search and saw they were in the same FC. I got replacements and we cleared it with ease, no problems.

So I have a contribution to this thread after following it for so long...

I was in Kugane as WHM earlier today with a PLD, a DRG, and RDM. Things were kind of slow so I kept watching as I helped with DPS until I noticed that I never saw the RDM use any of his elemental (Ver-) spells. He was only using Jolt II, Impact, Scatter, Fleche, and Contre Sixte. Meanwhile everyone else was busting their butts using all their skills, so I was perplexed. I told him that his Ver- spells do more damage and that I was probably out-DPSing him since he wasn't using them. He responds that they "take too long to cast"... so I gently mentioned that that's what Dualcast is for... and he replies "I'm fine, thanks" and never once uses them. Like what the heck? But I didn't say anything, since I can't Esuna stupid. So we eventually reach the end and beat Yojimbo, and right before he leaves the PLD tells me that parsing is a bannable offense and that I shouldn't tell people I do it. With that parting shot he's outta there before I can reply that I don't need to parse to know that a RDM only using his non-elemental spells in scattered Creation/crafted/omega normal gear is probably getting out-DPSed by a WHM in Savage/creation raid gear, especially since I try to heal as little as possible.

After the exchange with the RDM about his Ver spells the DRG started using his tether buff on me instead, which I found funny. At the end we commiserated a bit that you just can't force people to be good at their jobs, even if it's the easiest in the game to play. I don't ask a lot of people in DF roulette- just use your abilities and try your best. Ignoring half your spells because it's too much work is just inexcusably lazy.

I've met one who would hardcast Veraero/Verthunder and then dualcast the Verstone/Verfire proc (if they got one) - literally doing the rotation backwards XD.

Ok, admittedly I'm a garbage RDM, but I'm not that bad. I know that you Jolt/Impact into an elemental spell. You need those to fill up your black/white magic gauges faster so you can go into melee range, do the stabby stabby Zorro thingies, then jump back out and drop a Verflare/Verholy and get back to casting.

Indeed, my problems tends to be overuse of the elemental spells in AoE because I want to build an imbalance but get like 20 Verstone/Verfire procs one after another... ARGH!

I lost it right there. What did he think Dualcast was? I could understand if he was leveling, it's a new class, but you're in Kugane and it's a passive that always procs. I'm at a loss.

What do you mean "only a matter of time"?

Also, it says a lot about a player when the very first instanced fight you do in the RDM questline has X'rhun take a very specific timeout just to tell you about a level 1 trait of the job, and said player still doesn't know about it.

Got a story from Bahamut T9 today, trying to help someone clear the second coils, Im a lv 50 white mage while everyone else is a near or at lv 70 Paladin, warrior, dragoon and red mage. We've been wiping for a while now cause someone keeps dropping the meteors close to each other and wiping the party, before we started the fight we gave each other instructions on how the fight works and even put way markers down yet someone kept wiping us. In the last attempt I think I knew who it was, the red mage. on the last attempt a meteor dropped near the center, when the golem meteors came the red mage stood right next to other meteor, it drops and we wipe. I scream "WHAT DID I JUST TELL YOU!" as I had been saying to not let the meteors drop near each other multiple times now, red mage is wondering why the meteor exploded cause it was different color...everyone else including me face palms, he dcs, we all leave.
