They could of easily made Shisui dyeable to begin with...not toss them in an event.
But oh well. Let's look on the bright side and say we got the dyeable ver.

SE also took away from FF14 income for other projects like 15 KH3 and FF7R but hey we cant all have cake and eat it too :P

It's understandable that one would use the most popular races for advertising from a monetary standpoint. If I were trying to sell FFXIV to a group of individuals, I would most definitely put Miqo'te and Au Ra on a stand.

The fact of the matter is, though, that we're talking about an in-game event that requires no real money transaction (outside of an active subscription) to participate in. Giving some screen time to some of the less popular races will not make players opt out of the event, nor would it make people not want to play/purchase the game itself.

Furthermore, in a game with so much focus on lore, especially with the many different races and how they interact with one another, it almost feels self-defeating to give focus on just a handful of races due to their popularity among players. Hell, one could even argue that the popularity among races could actually fluctuate if more attention was given to lesser-played races.

I really enjoy art a lot, and I don't really like the style of the faces in this art at all...but it does feel a little sad when less loved, races
such as the Roe's are almost no where to be seen. Fem Roes are very beautiful (your character for example)
so I wish they change up the art a bit. :/

People (and especially in such huge numbers) play races and genders for various different reasons. Please don't generalize.
Also, art is subjective. Not everyone will / has to enjoy specific things.

Also, the events are not "just" for people who allready play the game. They will be promoted in- and outside of it, on wbesites, facebook, twitter [...] which means a lot of people will get to see it. Good / nice Art with popular races (female Miqo'te) can bring in more customers. So, again, it is a good marketing choice.

I can't remember a Fem Roe in any art.

First off, I appreciate your comment. I enjoy playing a Femroe and finding glamours that suit her.

Secondly, in recent memory, the only Femroes I can recall seeing, and having a prominent place, in official art are Merlwyb and a single generic (and somewhat brutish) Femroe in a countdown image.

It's really no wonder that Femroes are the least played of all the races, especially when they're typically portrayed as ugly, or at best, brutish. Part of me finds this ironic because (and correct me if I'm wrong here), Miqo'te are ruthless hunters as far as the lore is concerned, yet they're typically portrayed as cute, mischievous cat people.

Indeed, people that weren't SE were saying Stormblood will have triple budget.

A statement that was "rumoured" to have been said in a JP version of a quarterly report, which never actually showed up in any translated versions of said quarterly report (IE: it was never stated by SE to begin with).
