Nice strawman. You can like a game and still criticize it. It's doubly important to do so in a constantly evolving game like this one, a MMO which represents years of investment for most active players.
It's not black and white. If you love a game and plan to play it for the years to come, you want it to fix its shortcomings.

Again, this event is such a big issue because of the Fuga set. There is no "taking a break" or "focusing on more important things", they had enough ressources to do a full set and they chose to release it on the mog station, and now we have recycled gear for an event. It's greedy and you shouldn't let them get away with it or it will become the norm, unless you want a WoW situation where all the best looking mounts are on the cash shop ?

Also keep in mind that Stormblood has less content than Heavensward at launch.

If they didn't add the fuga set to the cash shop we would've had an unique set for this year's Moonfire Faire.

It would not suprise me if we saw new outfits being sold via the Mog Station and in the events we get dyable/rehash outfits. I mean why give it for free, if you can milk the community for more money?

Halloween this year, we will see Edda's outfit being sold via Mog Station while the ingame reward will be a minion or worse housing items (something alot of players are not able to use.)

All this talk about recycled gear feels so unfair. We got two freaking updates weeks after SB was released, and both came with new sets, including that new Chinese/Vietnamese/whatever set that's for glamour purposes only (obtainable INGAME). Will people ever take a step back and think about all the things they have, instead of simply complaining 24/7 about wanting MORE MORE MORE? Talk about greed.

Something that was released in the cash shop several months ago, and that for some reason must have any sort of secret relevance with this year's Moonfire.

What did the yukata or the posing ranger outfits have to do with summer? Not a whole lot.

I know you always want to see SE in the best light, but any way you look at it, this was a cheap cop-out as far as event rewards go. They could have easily made the Shisui dungeon sets dyeable. Instead they give us a minorly edited copy of one of those sets that is dyeable (which also suggests we'll probably never see dyeable Shisui). No other event reward has been a copy of an existing in-game item.

While I may not be huge on what's going on this time, just want to correct this.
In Japan, yukata are a very summer thing.

Not only does the Fuga set suits the Moonfire Faire, it mostly has to do with the fact that it's a subscription-based game, and that they'd rather make us pay more for it rather than give it in a event (or even include it in an update).
I don't know how to explain it more clearly. "Free" event = no effort recycled set. Mog station = Brand new set.
The Fuga set also isn't the only mog station exclusive, emotes like Play Dead should have been included ingame for "free".
People really need to understand that you're not playing a Free to Play game and such practice is extremely scummy and unfortunetly condoned by the very same players getting ripped-off.

As for the two updates after SB released, do you really think they put them together in two weeks ? Those were scheduled updates that were already done when SB released and were only released later so that people didn't rush the story to get to savage.
The same thing happened with Heavensward, and the fact remains that SB has less content.
