god these are funny. I keep reading them to see if somehow I wind up in one of these stories. :P

My two guesses are:After the dungeon is over we speculate that perhaps he hadn't completed his level 70 job quest so I looked him up on the Lodestone. He was actually wearing two pieces of his level 70 artifact armor along with some i310 tomestone gear so I have no idea why he wasn't using his artifact bow as well.
1) He was working on a glamour, trying different things on and such when the dungeon poped and forgot to change back
2) He doesnt know about the glamoursystem but likes the look of the bow, so hes just wearing it
Me and my friend on the other hand got a scholar in Ala Mhigo today who hadnt done their level 70 quest - which is okay in the dungeon but a bit... unfortunate for the following trial. So I told them... they never said a word about, the entire dungeon. They were also using only like 3-4 skills, non of the new ones for sure. Oh and they started stacking on the last boss for the sword-attack-thing...
Also: We did an O4-NM which took like 20-25 minutes and I was wondering already about it. So afterwards my friend shares what his magic crystal-ball told him: I was second in DPS. On my paladin. Only his BLM dealt (way more) damage. But every other freaking DPS did significantly less than my paladin... the dragoon apparently stopped learning new skills after level 45, because they never used any of the higher level ones.
Had a WAR who said he wasn't going to be in tank stance or spam Overpower in order to grab aggro, and that we should simply focus what he's focusing. First pack, I pull mob off him that he's attacking, healer heals me, healer pulls other 2 mobs, BRD and I start hitting off our AoEs trying to burn mobs down, WAR continues single targeting. WAR proceeds to say we're bad for not listening to him, we don't follow or help him at this, WAR walks off to next pack, he dies, starts ranting and we kick em and healer puts in an LS call, 10 seconds later DRK joins and we clear it.

1. Aery, we had a paladin that wasn\\'t quite so good at aggro holding. Not surprising, mobs\\' aggro went everywhere after we started lobbing aoes. Healer tells tank to shape up or pull lesser. Tank says "I only have one ranged skill lady, I can only do so much". Wash rinse repeat, healer repeats her "shape up or pull less". Tank gets really pissed at this point and says "how about you tell the dpses to not attack the mob I'm hitting??". Well, challenge accepted! We waited a good 10 seconds or so before starting to DPS his target after that.
How does a tank make it to 60 without knowing how to hold aggro from aoe heavy classes is beyond me. Hint: shield lob and ONE flash is probably not enough!
2. Vault. Lvl 70 sch with no fairy out, despite being asked to several times and doing nothing more than adlo-ing the tank and casting the basic heal. Not paying attention in fights and died constantly to standing in aoes, and mechanics. It was an atrociously fun fight at the pony circus....NOT.
3. Aurum Vale. A seriously undergeared tank, with the highest level gear being 40+, and he was still running around with level 1 acc @_@. He wasn\\'t bad per se, but the bad gears did make tanking hard. He turned out to be a nice chap, took some tanking advice, but the healer was ruthless in humiliating him throughout the run. The run wasn\\'t all smooth, but it was bearable with his high spirits. I offered to make him a set of up to date gears but sadly he was on another server. As for the healer, I hope she gets stuck with terrible tanks for the rest of her 14's life. On to the BL she goes!

Had a tank on Cutter's cry, me as a Scholar. He tried to pull everything in each level (with the sand pit things) and also did speed running at the same time and pulling everything away from me. Needless to say he took massive damage and died and then complained I couldn't keep up.![]()
You can usually tell the ones that are like that - they got hit at least once, if not twice, during the "First Trial" part.
And I do wish this were more often the case. Usually it's in groups where I'm the only one not level synced/in level 70 gear, and the others have gear from dungeons that come after.
Also, it's a mechanic that we've also seen before via Aetherochemical Research Facility - the final boss there does it during the ice/fire orb phase.
Amusingly enough, most groups I had there did the same thing of running apart (too many where I'd actually get to them to stack and they'd run away...*sigh*) and leaving very little safe room. It was never a particularly dangerous ability there either, I just rarely found a DF group that realized stacking made handling the mechanic pretty easy.

I find what I do for that part depends on where I am in regards to the other marker. If I am too far away, I try to reach the point the rings intersect just at the edge, which does give plenty of room, unless the other two just aren't paying attention. You can usually tell the ones that are like that - they got hit at least once, if not twice, during the "First Trial" part.

Obviously if I am close enough I stack, but still.

I've had that kind of runs in O1-NM -> O4-NM very regulary lately... I have a solid 2.8-2.9k dps as Pld and am way too often one of the top 3....Also: We did an O4-NM which took like 20-25 minutes and I was wondering already about it. Someone needs to explain to that guy that his idea doesnt work. Unless the healer lets him die(which still spreads the aggro and therefore doesnt help), the first(or maybe second) heal tossed his way will draw aggro from all the mobs he's ignoring. A good DPS wont let the healer die just because the tank is an idiot. And several of the classes do noticably more damage using AoEs then single target spells even with as few as 3 or 4 targets. Why make the fights take longer by ignoring part of your toolkit? And really, if he isnt using tank stance(and who knows what else he isnt using) a high damage single target DPS could still draw aggro doing exactly what he wants.Had a WAR who said he wasn't going to be in tank stance or spam Overpower in order to grab aggro, and that we should simply focus what he's focusing. I don't know about you guys, but I am growing increasingly frustrated with getting Extreme Primal content in my mentor roulettes. Who honestly was stupid enough to think it was a good idea? It's synced content. Veteran statics cleared Extreme primal content in 2-5 hours of progress. How am I to mentor people through it who can barely speak English, don't listen and have not taken the time out to look up a guide themselves AND do it in less than an hour. Are these people at the dev team having a laugh or something?
