Oh I would love a foggy anf gloomy and cold area. I'd prefer that over Shirogane definitely! What a lovely idea to bring up :3

i want ishagrd housing especially for the snow D:
if ishgard "warms up" the whole point of ishgard housing is lost. however, since i saw the sea of clouds and how the diadem is just a copy/paste flying islands everywhere my biggest fear is that ishgard housing will also just be a copy/paste with these flying islands. okay, they could add instanced housing this way. but i want to live in the snow D:
the only problem i see is that all the garden furniture is not designed to work in a snowy environment. they have to design new garden furniture with snow in mind especially for ishgard then. i guess that's the reason we will not get housing in the snow :\

Make greenhouses? Then lock regular garden plots so that they can't be placed in Ishgard?
Honestly I think that it's something they should look into in the future. Instead of making it sprawling like the other zones make it like the rest of the Brume, with the houses shoulder to shoulder with a narrow road between them and little front gardens.

I honestly do not think they are looking at it if anytime soon. Focus will be Sb area.
I hope next expansion we get forested areas and some housing (Gridania is not exactly forested like i mean, lol)

I'm just adding fuel to the fire here: PLEASE open up housing in Ishgard. I have 0 interest in Shirogane, I want to live in the Elf Alps!. Please make this happen SE.
Could end up looking a little something like this. Really cozy looking.

Personally I'm hoping one of the 4.X Patches (probably after the bulk of the remainder of the Doma/Ala Mhigo storyline has been addressed further), will be about Ishgard and introduce a lot more for it as it begins to formalize its role within the Eorzean Alliance.
Housing
Grand Company
New Archbishop
There was quite a bit that was left unresolved with Ishgard, so I'm hoping we just get one big patch to address it all, even if all of that is addressed through sidequests, like the new Archbishop being a continuation of the Scholasticate Side Quests.
[Edit]: I'm aware a 4th Grand Company would be an issue for PvP. I imagine they'd implement Grand Companies for Ala Mhigo and Doma at the same time and then either have them randomly paired up, or two Grand Companies always paired together per the lore of the story. Gridania and Ishgard (Ishgard was the first to come to Gridania's aid during the Autumn Wars), Ul'dah and Ala Mhigo (Took in refugees where other nations like Gridania turned them away), Limsa Lominsa and Doma (Yugiri seemed to form a strong bond with the Limsans, through shared teachings of their combat styles, and Limsa would have an easier time reaching Doma being the seafaring nation).

I was SO disappointed when they announced Kugane instead of Ishgard housing. I really want a snowy cold area to live in...

That would be super cool - Kind of similar to Victorian London. They could also make backyards (for garden/stable equality) instead of front yards since I assume there is quite a bit of people, like myself, who do not really care about making the prettiest house on the block.Make greenhouses? Then lock regular garden plots so that they can't be placed in Ishgard?

I'm getting the impression that if they did make Ishgardian housing, I'd think the houses would look like small stone garrisons. Like each one would be our own private Camp Dragonhead.
