Been a few days now, but this story repeats itself so often recently that I feel it's still relevant...
Expert roulette. Temple of the Fist. I say 'Hi'. No answer. Okay. I buff Protect, adjust my job skills and start moving, then realize the tank is far ahead already. Sprint. I sprint after him, catch him just in time to save his silly a**; we are standing in front of the first barrier at this point. Somehow manage to keep him up. After the pull, I want to top him off; cast breaks because he sprints away again, at barely half life. I sprint after him, he pulls everything up to te next barrier, of course half my healing CDs are on CD from the last pull, he dies.
He: "Nice heals."
Me: "Stop sprinting away ffs."
He of course waits just long enough for me to reapply Protect, then sprints away again. I go after him, he pulls everything again, I manage to keep him up. That pull is when I realize he didn't use CDs. I casted, like, three Holies or something.
Me: "Using CDs would greatly increase your survivability.
He: "How about you heal instead of dps?"
I was like... are you f***ing kidding me? First of, Holy is literally the best mitigation in the game, making the tank take no damage at all if done right. Second, he didn't die from me not healing, because I sure as hell did heal him when he took so much damage the previous pulls. Not only was he a complete a**hole, he even had the nerv to not only use no CD's, but also blame me for his f***ery.
When he tried to sprint away AGAIN, I just stood there and watched the show. He finally learned after that.
Just yesterday I had another of those sprint tanks in leveling roulette; several pulls went well, he overpulled once, we wiped, and he never pulled more than one group ever again for the rest of the dungeon (Dusk Vigil)...
Like... f*** you, too. Even my tank friend who leveled MCH there was livid...

So, I made the mistake of failing to hit Duty Complete/Completion in the Raid Finder for Susano EX. Ooooh, boy, the DRK and AST I got. The DRK was in MAN MODE, and refused to pop defensive cooldowns unless they were LIVING DEAD, and it would always be the first thing he used. The AST failed every mechanic. Stand still? Nah, I'mma cast DPS spells. Look at all those idiots stop moving. I sure showed them! Purple marker? And, what, move to the other side? Naaaaaaaaah, I'd rather fry everyone!
Naturally, the two of them died. A LOT. The DRK had the stainless steel ones to say, "Um, hello?" like it was my fault as a healer that he got one-shot by Stormsplitter. Oh, I'm sorry, I assumed you were competent and knew what Rampart was. Dude also got cleaved by another Stormsplitter before the tank swap, so both tanks had the Slashing debuff. Yippie skippy, as if I didn't already have a hard enough time healing the party, no thanks in part to the fact I was a SCH with a dead and dumb co-healer.
Just... I don't expect genuses from the DPS, but, for the most part, they knew what they were doing. The DRK and AST were just... sooooooooo special.

Recently I went lvl my WHM for static issues....geeeeeeez have all tanks becom ***holes ? oO
Every freaking time, overpull + insults when I can't keep them alive (not doing my roulette for memo but for pex so....no overstuffed buddy) and the worst ? They start again overpull !
EVERY FREAKING TIME !
Makes me wanna stop healing (I've been doing it on every MMOs for almost 10 years oO)
People don't know how to take criticism anymore, and bad play is rewarded with with a coddling mentality. Yes, this is a casual game for the most part - that doesn't mean people need to walk on eggshells in fear of getting reported for pointing out things. This whole 'please don't say anything even slightly negative' mentality that we seem to be going towards and the devs seemingly pushing towards it is creating a disturbing trend.
Tanks not using AoE enmity generators seems like a common occurrence in SB. Especially Paladins not using Flash.I was running Aurum Vale to level my WHM (RIP SCH), and our paladin tank had no concept of healing threat. Every pull he'd tunnel-vision a single mob, while the others would be drawn to my Cure I and Regen threat like moths to a flame. After our fourth wipe I asked him to spam some AoE threat in a friendly way, and he indicated that he shouldn't have to "if everyone focused my target." I tried to explain that my heals generated AOE threat, but he was skeptical. We wiped again and he begrudgingly started slinging around flash; our unending reign of dying magically ceased.
The New AoE provoke does not count and to many tanks use it as a pseudo-flash. It is not
My healer horror story is Susano, and all of the wipes caused by DPS standing in the crap... It is the first time I ever used my limit break....

Found out the hard way that Succor and Noct Sect Aspected Helios overwrite each other when cast due to a AST absolutely refusing to switch to Diurnal stance today. With their shields doing more as well I had to stop doing a good part of my kit which is always a 'fun' experience. Seriously SE, buff SCH shields or nerf the AST ones. OR MAKE THEM NOT OVERWRITE EACH OTHER. You're literally hampering the use of one of your healers...
Also had a fun O4 run today where all the DPS were more concerned with their damage than actually doing the mechanics. Three of them had been raised over three times before the end and the other healer wasn't far off either.

To be fair, one shield is already really strong mitigation. Adding another shield would be a little too much. All the blame goes to that AST.Found out the hard way that Succor and Noct Sect Aspected Helios overwrite each other when cast due to a AST absolutely refusing to switch to Diurnal stance today. This might be just a perspective of a Tank here, but gosh. Stormsplitter from Susano EX hits really hard. It's my "Tank horror" really, because it literally took down my 100% HP down to zero without debuffs. CD management has never got so important than this one.
Now I don't remember much having healer horror stories, but there were times when my heals were failing in A9S in a pug group after clearing a learning party. My heart was beating so hard... the pressure was tough, and they blamed me too for the wipes. It's not that they're very bad per se, but I'll never forget that moment, when my healer pressure was at its peak... I really feared of failure.
Susano Ex party finder
the end

I've had a slew of tanks of late which have been double and triple pulling. I'll be the first to admit my gear is a mix of level 60, 63 and 65 gear. That's why I'm running dungeons to upgrade them. I'm missing only a few accessories and my main weapon so far.
Having tanked Stormblood, I know how much more damage tanks are taking. That's why it irks that some tanks haven't gotten the memo we're no longer in Heavensward and need to pull less while people are gearing/levelling up.
Double pulls are tricky. Requires using largesse on cd and hitting cure II. Alot.
Triple pulls.... hitting Cure II like there is a spider on the button, largesse/presence of mind on CD, Benediction and praying to the healing gods the tank knows where their cooldowns are. Which they don't always do.
I had one tank (synced down to 66) pull the first three packs of mobs in Bardam's Mettle which resulted in the situation above. They did dial back to two packs at a time which was frankly, a relief.
Later in the dungeon they double pulled again and died to a crit, no cooldown and me not being in range when the fight started.
Dps asked why pull so much. They blew that off saying they normally pulled more than this and that my gear wasn't up to scratch. I did mention the increase in damage and agreed that I was working on my gear. Then they mentioned that I was running level 60 accessories. My accessories were apparently the problem. Because getting those few extra points from them would keep a tank up that insists on double/triple pulling lol
Got to say, I never thought in all my years of maining a healer that I'd be apprehensive about healing a dungeon and happy to swap over to my tank and control the pace.
