Their heads are too small for their bodies and quite honestly with the female elezen you /NEED/ to use certain hair styles in order to trick your eye into seeing their heads as slightly more proportionate. Certain hairs just emphasize the issues even more which is often why you'll see female Elezen with near identical hairstyles. Similarly elezen females have a grand total of TWO faces to chose from which further adds to my issues with the race in spite of maining one. Yes, you do have four presets but it's literally just two with make up and two without. There's no effort involved with them and it shows rather painfully. Which ultimately is the reason I want more face presets and features to be added to the game.

the fact that you need to "dress the right" to make them look good is proof enough that something about them is off.

It is true that fem elezen heads are too small,so the neck seems even longer....so yeah,they DO look better if you glamour something that covers the neck,but seriously, this shouldnt have to be.
I shouldnt have to be limited to certain glams just to hide the worst features.

Also, races shouldnt be made to cater to a super small minority. If theres a lot of people who would like to play them if they got a little fix, then they should take that as an opportunity to fix them.

If some people like them as they are right now, that also could be solved by implementing sliders. But I cant really believe that some people would be unhappy if their female elezen got their head and neck size adjusted a little....

also: just because I play elezen,doesnt mean Im fully happy with them. I really am not happy when I see nice new gear sets that look weird on my elezen. So I fantasia'd last night again into something else.

All races have gear that makes them look weird. Elezens aren't alone with this. There are some gear that makes Roegadyn or Lalafell look weird. The Horns on Au Ra ruining a lot of head glamour. Tails clipping through gear. Elezens is the one race people just want to mess with its design despite other races having flaws, too. I'm fine with sliders, but the idea with them is to make them way different from your standard Hyur, who are the base race. I'm all for adding more customization to all races, but the constant dumping on other races does get annoying, especially when a new thread of a tired theme pops up every now and then. I don't have to read them, but I always do in case they bring up a good point, but it usually isn't. Just another race bash thread.

kinda curious as to which are the "correct" hairstyles lol. I flip between the elezen short braids, the elezen bob with pulled back bangs, and aymeric's hair.

I don't mind how they look since what Elezen I have seen are played by people who know how to make them look good....at least when standing still, because when they look like they're running with a back brace on.

They don't even have the Lalafell excuse of not having joints either.

neck too long. predominantly so on females. running animations look horrendous. females do have beautiful faces though.

if you look at Falis character, the upside down acorn shape chin thing makes the head look skinnier. their faces are way skinny or something lol.

This is how I feel. Now and then, I see them run around and think they look gorgeous and even get in my head to fantasia into one. Then I do, and it's just, "nope."

Some people make VERY good looking Elezen, hence why I try to play them as well. And it's clearly just a personal thing since I've even gone as far to try and copy one for curiosity's sake and it still felt off.

Maybe its the neck? The fact that people seem split on it probably more means its much more an opinion thing than any ACTUAL issue, which I expected. It's just a shame, I want to play one so bad and instead I'm a Man-cat :'(

I recently fantasia'd off of one, and I always liked the faces on Elezan girls, but agree the head to body ratio is what looks unusual. Their heads are the same size range as hyurans. I, however, have no issue with their current appearance, and never have.

But, I really don't think thickening them up, enlargimg their head, or performing major skeleton modifications will do anything but make all the current Elezan players angry.

That would be like someone complaining about the Miqo'te having such huge eyes, and then SE changing them to the scale of the Hyuran's eyes since a vocal section of players claimed that it would look better that way. I don't think it would look bad if they did, but current players would not be okay.

Angry Elezan players wouldn't be on the scale we'd see with Miqo'te, but their opinion should be equal here.
