Well, you're clearly shitposting. Heaven forbid that a person who likes cats should say something about gaelcats, and for the person talking about killing enemies, combatants are combatants. Local wildlife, not so much.

For those saying that it's just a game...yeah it is a game, people are free to make requests of the devs and frequently do, but does hat mean that the forum needs to crap on this topic or poster for liking cats and asking something. Look, I'm a cat lover, have been my whole life, but as a former animal shelter employee, I only have one thing to say to this-

Cats are universally friendly, cute animals, they all behave the same way

Cats come in a wide variety of flavors ranging from cuteness incarnate who just want to love and be loved to ferocious hellspawn that want nothing more than to shred you into confetti. Please note that I am not blaming the cats who are angry or afraid as I have a thorough grasp of the kind of circumstances that make them that way, but that does not negate their existence. Cats are individuals and even friendly or "good" ones exist on a spectrum and can have wildly different personalities and behaviors.

The vast majority of Garlean forces we fight in game are conscripts- normal villagers conquered by the Empire who are rounded up from their homes and forced to fight for people they hate and fear on the pain of death of not only themselves, but everyone they hold dear. You see this happening first hand in many of the new 4.0 quests and you still feel more compunction about killing a malevolent demon because it happens to have a cute face? Seriously?

I am sorry, but if we don't kill them they will keep breeding and overpopulate the zones. If that happens there won't be any food for them in the environment and they will all starve to death. By killing them we allow for them to have more food. So you see, we must kill them or they will die.
