I cannot bring myself to kill a gaelcat. I refuse. That was even before the gaelkitten came out. The are just normal tabby cats with wings! They meow! There is even gaelcatnip! These are clearly supposed to be representative of cats.
Why? Why are these beasts/monsters, things to kill? There is a sidequest to go out and slaughter some and they are used as hunt marks for seals.
I wish SE would remove gaelcats from those. Make these friendly, be creative.
I don't like killing wild chocobos, blue butterflies, coeurls, any of the various tigers and I won't if I have ant other choice at all. But I will not kill a gaelcat. I refuse to do that quest or hunt.
I know plenty will make fun. It is just a game. But I rescue real cats. I don't like the portrayal of the WoL killing a cat-like creature.
Please, SE...find a better place for the gaelcats in the game. Make them a friendly animal that we do not hunt or kill.
Thank you for your consideration.
