In all honestly, Id prefer modifications of the current races over a new race. When you look at the races, and take out the ears/face section, they almost all pretty much fit the same mold slender, no adjustable proportions, flat butt...the only one that is outside of this is the Roe, but then you need to accept a huge hulking thing....again, with a flat butt. Lala's are cool, but again, no adjustable proportions...they are all an upside-down tub with arms and legs attached.

Not to mention you pretty much have 4 options for each facial feature. Which does almost nil to change the look. on a few models, I can't even tell if changing the jaw options does anything!

Id prefer to see adjustable proportions. What If I want an older, slightly tubby mage? One that actually looks old...every face model outside the Roe (again) looks like it's 14 years old. I want real old looking old people. And I want to be able to make a lalafalel that has muscles he can flex. I want my little lala tank to look like a tank, with a big hairy beard. Not the dainty crud they have for almost every class.

We need sliders and more options in customization far much more then we need a new race. It's about time FFXIV caught up with other MMO's and gave us more in that field. Why do we need another slender/skinny model with almost no shape that has a different set of ears? or if it has a shape, that's the only one you get. Primitive.

Example: BDO. Now, I don't want that degree of customization, but holy smokes! if they can do that with a game that involved, we can do it here.

While I certainly wouldn't mind a few more slider options in character creation I would like it to happen only after they've added a few more races. Otherwise adding new races would become far harder and more easily delayed and denied.

As much as the heel thing annoys me since it is very clearly a "Sex bunny" thing regardless of what lore says, I would roll one because MAN did they OWN in FFTA and FFTA2.
