Zenos Appreciation Thread [Massive Spoilers]

I felt like we had a deeper and more meaningful relationship with Zenos than most if not all characters aside from Haurchefant. Though I'm also in the minority that I didn't really care about Haurchefant at all.

I was admittedly sad when Zenos died.

Zenos is one of those friends who is always challenging you to be better then you currently are. In the beginning, he whooped your ass, but by the end, you were equal or better then him because he challenged you. Only true friends do that.

Zenos was nothing more then a bland Blood Knight.

To be fair that's how I play my WoL. Every "choice" I was given, I picked the fighty one. She probably did feel a kindred spirit in Zenos.

Of course I did. Because he lives for those moments, and I live for them too.

I appreciate the fact that Zenos was literally the Lore reason why our character is leveling from 60 to 70.

He was a level 70 character and the WoL has been stuck at level 60 because he or she thought that was the peak of their talent until Zenos appeared as Mr. level 70 and beat some sense into the Wol showing that there are still more levels of power to go beyond the Wol current point.

I understand why he offed himself, but that didn't stop me from being like "NO, NOT LIKE THIS, MAN" in that moment.

I always felt like FFXIV has been missing a villain that lasts through expansions and creats a relationship of rivalry with the main character, after the 1st fight with Zenos I was like "yep, this is the guy", but then they ended him too quick :/. It was a good end tho, no "but mommy slaped me in the butt" like Yotsuyu, "I just wanted to save everyone" like Fordola, or "All I do, I do for the great master" like the ascians, nope, Zenos was the way I like, selfish self-centered villain with no background trying to justify his stuff.
