came back to FF14 after a long break. did some dungeons as a Dark Knight. Under geared and little knowledge of the class. I gave the healers a ride for their money. It worked out but every boss fight the healer would nearly be out of mana at the end.

i felt bad being SCH main. But personally i would have enjoyed the challenge.

After about forty minutes in the queue for Kugane Castle an in progress run pops. This is the final level 70 dungeon I need to do for opening the expert roulette. I had tried a couple of times earlier in the day, once getting DC'd while in the queue, and the other having to cancel the queue due to RL getting in the way. Anyway, I zone in to be greeted to this:

P1 'kick me'
P2 'you can leave and eat your penalty'

I was inclined to agree.

As I was running towards where they had gotten to in the instance I chip in with something along the lines of 'You should have left before I joined. There's no penalty for leaving if the group isn't full.' As I rounded the corner where they were, I saw the offending player sitting on the floor, with a crown next to his name. I comment that he is a mentor and should be reported. Then the next thought is to actually report him myself. As I'm filling out the report the other two members are going into detail about the incident they had with him and his 'mouthy friend', who they had just kicked.

Once I had filled out the report, I let them know and it seemed that the mentor had gotten up and started going on about letting the dungeon run its full duration. I then realised I had forgotten to mention he was a mentor, so I went back into the support desk, found my ticket, hit reply and was swiftly met with a windows error message which forcibly closed the game. I hurriedly open up the launcher and log back in, remembering that trial where the DC'd person was able to log back in right away.... only to be met with a 1100+ queue.

So if either of you two good people that were or are still in that run... I'm sorry, I wasn't trying to ditch the group myself. Queues ftl.

Could you please stop pairing me with a 2nd SCH every time I do Trial Roulette, especially if you are going to continue to give me Shinryu every day. It's doable of course, but it feels awful.

Did Bardaams Mettle yesterday for the first time, lovely group overall but the first pull kinda took 10 years off my life span. Standard affair, spawn with aoe classes, tank does large pull, unfortunately DPS in Bardaams from the monsters is INSANE, WAR tank dropping faster than I can heal, both me and the tank are frantically popping every single CD available to us, Im spamming cure II hoping that I can heal faster than the dmg is being dealt. The DPS finish everything off, I collapse out of my chair with 500 ish MP to my name, I then type in chat "maybe small pulls" tank replies with "yeah D:".

That dungeon seems to do way more damage to tanks than anything before or after it. I was actually kind of worried about the following dungeons after doing it, only for it to go right back to just needing a bit of attention for the tank and mostly DPSing.

Today an fc mate and I ran sohm al nm to level my rdm. They were pld and we got a whm and another rdm. It went all fine till the final boss. The healer somehow dies within seconds of the fight so it's 2rdms and a pld left. We rhwn clear the who fight with us using vercure with some dualcast spells for dps. We came really close to wiping to bad meteor placement, but we did it! Man I love rdm

First time in Temple of the Fist today and I DC on the second boss. Pop back in to see the group has wiped and brace for some upset folks as I explained myself. Was pleasantly surprised to find cheerful folk who understood that sometimes things happen. Shoutout to the Coddlefishes, thanks for the sportsmanship!

People are seriously ungrateful in this game sometimes.

Ixion spawned on my server and a lot of people rushed to it.

My boyfriend and I were in a party already so I started trying to invite people as quick as I could since a lot of people were spamming the log for invites. We managed to get 5 people quickly but then every one I tried to invite said "already joined another party". I kept trying as fast as possible clicking and inviting over and over, but was unsuccessful for a bit...

So I gave my boyfriend leader so he could try and we got to 6 people and ended up with 8 near the end of the FATE, but we only got silver.

We tried our best and the map was partially crashing; people d/cing everywhere and very unstable and everyone in my party was being culled so I couldn't target to heal or raise them unless I managed to find them so it was rough.

Well we got silver so got 1/2 possible horns, better than getting nothing. Some said thanks for invite and left, but one guy? Instead of saying thanks (or heck I don't care if you just say nothing and leave) he is like "you didn't invite enough people" and left.

Sigh. I guess he'd rather get nothing? I let him know not to worry since me or my boyfriend won't be inviting him anymore and that he should just try making his own party and then blacklisted him. Hopefully he can find others to invite his ungrateful butt.

Is it really going to kill you to be even just slightly courteous to others?

All of the dungeons and primals have been so much fun. Except for df toxicity. Some of us are "filthy casuals" who have a life outside if doung nothing but playing the game day in and day out. Forgive me for being a bad healer on the final fight when I have no idea what is going on. Thanks for your help, btw for not explaining wtf was going on. I now know why you went through multiple parties before you cleared.

The visuals were stunning, everything was great despite my less than perfect preformance. I HAVE SO MANY QUESTIONS. It's like finishing a book. I feel empty. Guess it's time to play the game.

My Shinryu clear took longer than my Sophia EX clear (2+ hours), and I only got it after I brought a full FC party. God help any of you who are doing it through DF.

Had my first Susano run this morning. DRK was supposed to do the button mashing. Never did. He loses patience and leaves. He's quickly replaced by a PLD. We do the mechanics correctly and though we don't beat him on our first try after the PLD joins, we eventually clear. My comm went to the patient PLD.
