    Pointless to you, not so much to me. I accept the fact that there are people whose perspectives will differ from mine, but it shouldn't be a reason for people to immediately shoot down a solution. I don't go around shooting down other people's suggestions or solutions just because I think it's pointless. Instead, I would try to see WHY it would be useful, and how it could be adjusted to meet everybody's preferences.

    The core of the mantra is choice.

    And I don't mean a two-pronged choice set, either. "Do it" or "Don't do it"...that's an exclusionary mindset. That's unacceptable to me. Now, if it was "Do it", or "Do it with different parameters", or "Don't Do it", I would accept it.

    Simple as that. If people cannot understand the advantages of having multiple choices in the content you do, then I pity you.

    (Actually, strike that last part - after all these responses, you don't deserve my pity, or anybody else's.)
