It is so fun to play MCH now

Yes, no more Gun mage, but what makes the job fun is the heat mechanic. Since the job gets heated and more powerfull version of his weaponskills at 64 it is kinda fun to make rotations trying to keep your gauge between 50 and 95.

The new animations looks way better as well. Feels so good to hit that Direct Crit ammo heated Clean shot.

Yea I definitely agree. I haven't leveled it to 64 yet, but just from playing with it in PvP, its so much fun.

Is it fun? I was reading the skills and tried to compare it to a bard. It seems Machinist has more damage output skills while bard seems to have more support skills, am I wrong? I really loved the overheating mechanic, it seems complex and fun. Gotta try it later when I finish leveling my healers

I'm about to hit lvl 60 as a bard and I was wondering how it would be to go to a MCH. Only reason I was hesitant was I didn't know how big the skill changes would be and how hard the rotation adjustment would be. When ppl talk about what job they wanna do or play or numbers in raids I just never hear about MCH or BRD... I've only been playing a bit over 4 months so I don't know much but I do know I don't wanna be bottom dps in anything I do or try to help with.

Saying you don't want to be bottom dps like this, would assume everyone is of equal skill at playing their job and therefore the jobs balance would be reflected thereafter, however this will likely not be the case and every job will most likely be viable for the content as was the case for HW. So I wouldn't worry too much about it, though I recall MCH being a bit behind in Gordias that was fixed rather quickly. Just play what you enjoy basically and if you perform well at it, even if your job might be 'underpowered' you will most likely perform better than mediocre people playing stronger jobs.

Well in playing a bard I don't really get the whole rotating songs thing yet since I haven't been playing long and with MCH I wouldn't have to worry about that. Not saying I wanna be lazy and not learn I just don't wanna be bad lol. I look up videos all the time trying to learn but I'm sure it's harder to do on ps4 then on PC where u can have everything out in front of u. IDK we will see like I said I'm not even 60 yet.

In playing both (honestly pre-60), I find that I'm enjoying the MCH a bit more then the bard. I may become my go-to, just gotta level him up!

Currently doing MSQ in SB on my DRG. I enjoy it too though, so I may end up being stuck due to my alt-itis. we'll see which one shoots ahead xD.
