Job Potions on Mog Station, When?

I dont mean to attack anyone, but I'm always a bit curious why people want to skip the story (I guess I can understand it with parts of ARR) when they know that there will just be MORE story with the next expansion. I mean... you want topay money to skip something you dont like, to get to play more content you dont like...?
Can someone explain this to me somehow? I'm sorry, I just cant wrap my head around this >.< I guess everyone enjoys different things about the game in the end and thats fine, but I just dont get this...

In OPs case for example: was it the setting you didnt like and you hope you'll like the SB one better? Or the characters?

Well for me, I am slightly considering using it so I can make a true alt character without having to do all that stuff again. Occasionally, I'd also like to play as a different race without having to buy a fantasia every time! ...which is why I'd like to make an alt, and one that doesn't have to do all that story stuff and the stuff gated behind it. I enjoy the story stuff, don't get me wrong, but that doesn't mean I want to do everything again just to have access to the same stuff as my main. /shrug

Not wanting to do the story again I can fully understand! (And again: I'm not judging anyone who wants to skip the story enterily, even on their first character - I'm just wondering how happy a person who doesnt want to see the story at all is going to be witha Final Fantasy game)

yeah I know, It may sound weird but there are people out there that do enjoy mindless grinding with no context to what there doing
