The future of PvP gear?

With the total revamp of the PvP I was wondering what would PvP gear become?
Obviously there probably is no need anymore to have different price for every gear since they're all ranked down to glamour state, but are they all going to be lvl down to 30 which is the new starting PvP lvl? Or maybe different lvl to encourage player raising their job to wear them?
Tbh I wouldn't mind Garo gear down to lvl 30 this way I wouldn't have to raise all my job to 60 to wear them lol

I'm honestly more bummed I can't use PvP gear to quickly boost item levels on alt jobs, it was a lot more convenient than farming tomes to buy shit because you gained tomes alongside wolf marks.

I didn't realize this... I was hoping they invested more in PvP gear, not less... Was really hoping PvP gear became a third viable path to gear-up (along side Raids and Tomes) even if that meant weekly bottlenecks.

Cheating your item level? How about you go check a tooltip on a piece of pvp gear and compare it to a piece of dungeon gear of similar item level.

They have the same weapon damage. They have the same main stats.

There's just a stigma attached because "ew PvP gear."

I'm obviously not planning to stay in the PvP gear for very long.

When you open that can of worms, you also get raiders feeling the same way about your lore gear or Kina weapon. A game could be designed to require content-specific gear, but that can quickly backfire. Suddenly you need 3 sets of gear for every job if you want to do all the things?

I suspect that all future pvp gear will be glamour gear/catch up gear like the i235 Garo sets are.

If dungeons weren't faceroll with even a half-competent party and required harsh skill and gear checks i'd agree with you. But wanting to take my MCH into a dungeon with a perfectly serviceable weapon so I can roll on gear and go buy a proper one isn't cheating.

This "pvp gear should only be used for pvp" and "pve gear should only be used for pve" mentality is entirely self-enforced. I respect that you have an opinion, but I don't respect how narrow minded it is and how it encourages limited options for players to progress.

I don't feel limited at all in PvE. To raise your ilvl you got Craft, Dungeon, Tome, Story mode raid and 24 man raid, and for more HL player Extreme and Savage. Saying that forbidding to wear PvP gear in PvE is limiting player's progression is like shooting on the ambulance.
