I'm against this idea as originally proposed. Healers shouldn't be able to glamour tank gear. Bards shouldn't be able to glamour BLM gear. Etc. The current restriction that requires a job be able to equip a piece in order to display it as glamour is a sensible thing.

Where the issue comes is with Job Specific Gear and Shared Role Gear. This really does need fixed. Let's say someone has both BRD and MCH. Both jobs are wearing the exact same gear, but the player wants the BRD to look like a BRD and the MCH to look like a MCH. As things currently stand, the player can accomplish 1 at the expense of 2. This needs to be addressed, and to fix it the entire glamour system needs to be overhauled. I'd say, as opposed to locking the glamours to individual pieces of gear, additional equipment slots need to be introduced specifically for glamour. This is the system some other games use and it works well. That way, your glamour can change as you change between jobs that are equipped with the same gear. It would also mean that your glamour wouldn't change even if you changed the equipment for the same job. Considering that in SB they are working towards increasing our inventory slots, this would be a prime time to make the change to such a system.
