Please don't use the gay community and their detractors as fodder for your trolling.
That said... It's interesting to see how many people still think gay people are flaunting, or "getting in everyone's faces" just for wanting to be included. This idea really isn't any more outlandish than most suggestions on this board, but it's gotten a disproportionately heavy-handed (and negative) response.
EDIT: Thread was made THIS MORNING, and a post painting the entire LGBT community as attention-seekers nearly has 90 likes lol. All right, tolerant Eorzea.

Why does it have to have a prominent LGBT character? That's why I don't like joining stuff like "LGBT community", "LGBT LS", etc. It's not a lifestyle. Being gay, bi, trans, just means that you have attraction for the same gender or both, and it's something related to intimacy, and IMO shouldn't be used as a "business card". There can be LGBT character and you don't know, because they don't wear pink stuff, don't act different just to show their sexual orientation. I really don't agree and don't fit in the making your sexual orientation a lifestyle (it doesn't dictate how I should dress, talk, act, walk, and definately not my taste, likes and dislikes. It just means that I'm attracted to the same gender)
As a gay man, simply ending/deleting topics that aren't to our liking is a terrible way to go about social progress. You can't just silence people you disagree with, but you can debate or ignore.
Agreed. Unfortunately, there's not much debate to be had with only "gross, no plz" to go off of, haha.
So why close down the thread because one person makes an iffy comment? Social platforms wouldn't be effective if a single nasty comment out of the blue warranted total thread removal, heh.
Apologies if I was unclear -- I agree you you that it's better to talk these things out. I was just remarking that with an "iffy comment" like that, there's unfortunately not much of a discussion to be had in that particular case.
