I'd like more of the 'shaved' or side-braid style, similar to one of the hairstyles we're getting with Stormblood:

No thanks, we have enough short hairs now. I personally think this is honestly one of the worst hair styles they have right now, it looked amazing in the trailers. But in reality it's really horrible >.<

I like that one too, however it does only look good on specific races, as you are demonstrating, it will look amazing and is a hairstyle that should have been added much earlier to specific races. Now imaging that hairstyle on an elezen male or au-ra female. It will look so much out of place that if these two examples would have picked the fully shaved option, would maybe been the better choice lol.

Maybe I am mixing you up with someone else, but I could have sworn your hair were pink prior, that hairstyle would be even better within the cotton candy color scheme

It looks amazing on my character though? It's a choice though, you either put up with unisex hairstyles or short hairs go to male characters and long hairs go to female characters, but that's the kind of hair I personally appreciate, I don't like long hair on my Roegadyn... it also clips with a lot of my glamours.

Yeah that's true, like I only personally see it being good on the more "stocky" races, like Highlander Hyurs and Roegadyn, and yes, my hair was pink indeed.

A part of me liked how Heavensward hairstyles have become uni-sex, but the downside is that the developers need to make hairstyles that fit both genders. Aside from Queen's hairstyle, every hairstyle released so far in Heavensward has been short, which would fit both genders fine, but this also means that aslong as SE are doing this, we will not get very feminine hairstyles or masculine hairstyles.

Maybe for Stormblood, SE should go back to how ARR hairstyles looked, the males got masculine hairstyles and the females got feminine hairstyles, because if it stays like this, we can only expect more short hairstyles and personaly, I am sick of that. Afcourse, I understand that there are those that want feminine hairstyles for their male characters and masculine hairstyles for their female characters, but as it is right now, we will not get feminine hairstyles.

I hope that Sice hairstyle looks good on Au Ra ladies, because the 2 new Stormblood hairstyles look awfull on my character and from what I have read online alot of players with female characters are not happy with those masculine hairstyles.

And we now have PLENTY of short hairs for females, we don't need anymore unisex hairs. We're in dire need of gender-specific hair again.

I'm all for options, and everyone is allowed to make their character the way they want to, your character is amazing to you, mine is amazing to me. But it's time to mix it up hairstyle wise for definite, they've added purely short/mid length styles for the whole of HW. Unisex hairs have worked for some of the styles, but others....not really (in my opinion)

The issue here is now if someone complains that there's too much long hair, and not enough short hair it'll just be another one of these situations.

I'm not disagreeing, like I'm in 100% agreement with you, there is a lack of long hairstyles for the characters that prefer it, but the issue with unisex hairstyles is that they're going to always be short because it's not only easier to model and design for the developer, but it also encompasses a lot more players than longer hair.
