Actually I´m not to salty about it, as Paladin will get alot of cool stuff too...but...well...4 times fell cleave with going back to strength being the main atribute. I`m curious how they are going to balance this.

They gave pld two aoe attacks, a new direct magic attack that might be AoE (couldn't tell cause it was on a single target) along with more interesting gameplay and that nice group shield ability and the ability to block magic. Pld got a lot of love indeed.

Also strength is NOT going to be the main stat, if you watched the livestream, you'd know they're adding role restrictions on accessories. Tanks will no longer be able to equip str accessories, period, only Vit gear.

As for for the 4x Fell cleave, the Warrior has to dump all their resources in to that and nothing else, none of their extra utility abilities or abilities that use the Inner Beast bar. As for the Fell Cleave spam, we don't know if the potency is getting adjusted since it can be spammed, so I wouldn't jump in to conclusions.

But the question will be, should we stack STR on those accessories? Or Tenacity (assuming we can get materia for this of course)?

If we meld strength then nothing has changed really. As for Tenacity though, we'll have to see it in action and see how the math works out.

That new PLD ability with the wings seems really weird. It doesn't seem like you can do actions while it's active and it only affects behind the PLD. I can only think of this being worthwhile on boss ultimate abilities where the boss isn't targetable, but even then it doesn't seem like it'd be necessary.

That said they made PLD able to block magic now, so it could end up being stronger than DRK regardless if it doesn't fall behind in DPS again.

The "get behind me" move is pretty common in MMO's, WoW's pld had it a for a while. It's a pretty situational ability, it's not useless by any means, it's specifically for ultimates or big aoe damage that is unavoidable or has to be soaked/split. Think of it more like Sch's ground damage mitigation move.

Yeah, as I said, Im not to salty about it. I`m also curious about what paladin will use his gauge for (maybe this was said too?).

As for the fell cleave potency. Yoshi used it in the live stream and it did ~4k damage without maim on and with vit gear equiped.

As far as the gear goes, they said it for the other roles but I didn`t really get it for tanks. Did they really say, that only meele dps will be able to use strength accessories?

Tenacity is not going to be a good meld if meta is all about DPS (unless it give us the same damage as determination and that would be kind of silly), so yeah STR for left side.

Assuming it isn't a mass Cover or something, but rather a % mitigation to people in the area, it could be used to provide an extra bit of mitigation to the other tank when needed.
