Tackle box needed for bait

They could make space in the oft-empty Key Items tabs. I use the expanded inventory screen, and it shows me three tabs for key items, and one for crystals and shards, and at MOST I have maybe a dozen key items handy -- and that's only when I'm doing Ixali quests and picked up my hunt logs at the beginning of the week. That's it. They couldn't even put Atma in there, so there's no reason they can't free up one tab and give players in general more inventory space if not fishers specifically.

Or they just haven't given a good reason from a dev standpoint not to. Fishing is more popular now due to desynthesis so... Get on it, please!

Just took up fishing and yes we do need a tackle box, very very good idea, and wouldn't be that hard to implement. That is what you guys do is write code And make your customers happy right? Right?

No, we don't.

How many types of bait do you hold at once? How many of those can be easily bought from a vendor (1-50), or be bought with blue scrips (almost all HW ones)?

I only have 3 stacks of bait at all times; Brute Leeches, Crane Flies, and Bladed Steel Jigs. Anything else is either easily bought from a vendor or made for cheap by GSM/CUL. If I need any ARR bait I go to the Junkmonger in the Housing Areas and see if they have it; if not I make a couple synths of it. If I need Blue Scrip bait I always keep a stack of Brute Leeches as a safety measure to fish up a few Illuminati Perches to get that stack of bait too.

Instead of necro-ing a thread that's over 2 years old, consider making a new thread to get a current opinion.

Well I still hope they add something specific for baits and lures, it's becoming extremely annoying as levels increase. Yoshida talks about it being expanding the inventory but that's really not it... there's a big difference between adding more slots to the bags (where one can put whatever) and creating a special "bag" where one can only put only fishing related stuff. It's the only job that requires so many additional items, I hardly see any player getting upset about this... The tackle box exists already and it detects which baits we have so they just need to keep that and remove the items from the inventory. Of course the box should be accessible only when in fisher gear.
