Basically you are saying your own FC is the only safe haven in all of Eorzea for LGBT, which we all know that is ludicrous. Just like what many in this thread told the OP, they don't get out much.

Well, LGBT are represented in many of our own free companies. Not everyone wants to go to one server or a zerg FC. I'm also not sure what you are getting at by running away from a token free-company tag either, if you are true to the cause you'd be standing up to such things by placing the stake.

^Correct me if I am wrong. You are opposed to SE putting a temp. lock on Gilgamesh, because if they go ahead with their decision, then ppl from the LGBTQ community will not have a safe haven to run to(your fc, for example)?

NO NO NO. This game has limited assets. The server should be closed and not open till they can balance those assets. Other games lock servers I have never seen whining like this on those forums.

Although the biggest issue is community lockdown, and being a resident of Gilgamesh, is (unfortunately) have to side with this.

Market is overrun by people who can provide same services.

Housing situation lacks improvement due to demand.

Smaller servers die with desired resources.

It's a lot to get into but I do believe in squares decision in this matter.

Competition is normally considered a good thing as monopolies are pretty terrible for consumers but over supply is terrible for produces as it wipes out the markets.

The issue is best discussed without bringing biased politics into the debate, I feel. Especially when certain people are arguing from within what appears to be quite the influential echo chamber and just as discriminatory as those they claim to be against.

I am also peeved beyond measure.

I run the world's largest LGBTQ Gaming Community off of Gilgamesh. We were first FC in beta, and first house, and spent what's approaching 4 years developing a server that is free of hate speech against sexual orientation by working with nearly every FC through exhaustive linkshells and Facebook communications. We've had 2,700+ unique FC members as verified manually through Enjin as of April 2017. You cannot tell 2,700 accounts to transfer without fears of the free transfer being lifted. There are too many risks, including losing the trust of our members and our community.

You can listen to trolls who have nothing better to do than to demean other player experiences, but that doesn't change that Gilgamesh has been the center of a thriving community with 3-10 brand new players every single day. The first day we tried expanding to Faerie server, we were greeted by an FC called <AIDS>. Don't tell me homophobia doesn't run rampant.

Are you not adding to the problem by segregating the LGBTQ to one server? Would it not make more sense to have the population expand through other servers?

Without any fluent readers of Japanese speaking up, I'd have to ask friends who can read for a favor to browse the forums (and possibly other commonly used boards) to see the reaction.

It should be noted that there hasn't been any fixed, finite specified number of worlds being added to the EU data center, just that there will be some added. I believe that the congested high population is a broad section related to -all- of the worlds, especially the worlds that are now currently suspended for transfers and character creation.
