Login queues are unfounded (and have rarely ever exceeded 5 or 10 minutes, tops). Expanded party finder and cross-server features do not supplement or replace actual in-game communities and open-world interactions with players. Instead, they encourage people to turtle and not network with other players to form meaningful relationships.
