If he said XII his PR team would breath fire on him. If he said "go play XII" that would essentially confirm viera will be added.

No. It. Wouldn't. If he said play FFXII, one group of people will go "omg Viera confirmed!" another group will go "omg {other Ivalice race} confirmed!" and others will speculate on lore and what to expect in the raid.
FFXII was not about Viera.

Adding viera to hydaelyn woudn't cause a calamity xD you're being so dramatic.

It's a rift tossing thousands of people (Viera, Bangaa, etc) into a world that is already dealing with its own nonsense. It kinda would cause a calamity/cataclysm/war since these people are also not natives to the land. People of Hydaelyn (or the separate nations on the planet) would fear they're being invaded by an alien force, build an alliance and then go to war. Shoot first, questions later.

Ivalice is mostly always in a book. This book could lead us to Ivalice but it could also lead people out of it and I could see viera being lead out of it. You talk a lot about FFT. Well, one thing about FFT is that the church is against beast tribes so maybe that drives viera to seek shelter in eorzea. See how FFT backfired? Sorry Nestama.

No. If we're going into the book (Gran Grimoire), then our surroundings will change. The book, as seen in the FFTA opening, "alters reality." When Marche and co entered the book, those who did not hear the incantation are transformed with the world. So when we leave, everyone and everything will transform back (the races of Ivalice never came to St. Ivalice when you beat the final boss, after all). I talk a lot about FFT because that is what Yoshi-P mentioned (specifically suggesting that people play Tactics to get a feel for that games lore).

I still think its possible for Viera. I would love it if they came come Stormblood, but i feel like it would make a lot of sense to introduce them during the raid and slowly bring them over to our side of the globe like the Au Ra did with Heavensward. I really want it. I do, but i feel like if it happened, this would be the way they would do it. Probably not "heres an expansion, now login and change to a strange new race that the locals never heard of super suddenly before continuing on your journey"

This is my hope as well. I feel like Return to Ivalice is a way for them to appear in 5.0. I could see how at the very end of the raid viera appear to save Ivalice or appear after we save Ivalice. It's really the perfect story bit that Stormblood is adding for them to appear. There's never been a better time for it and I think this raid will be like the mhachi raids which allowed us to understand who the mhachi were.

Those opposed to it need to understand that this is what we think. We're not saying we know it'll happen since none of us works at square enix. In every sentence I'm giving my opinion backed up with what's there.

It wouldn't be a rift that brings viera to hydaelyn, it would be the book of Ivalice opening the gate into hydaelyn. Rift and book are very different things. A rift is more like you're tearing the worlds apart and creating a lot of energy for that to happen. With a book all you're doing is opening the gates between the 2 worlds. No calamity happen by just opening a gate.

As for transforming "back" that only happens to people that went into the book. The people leaving the book wouldn't have anything to transform into.

Lol, because the dev team have confirmed that adding races is even a thing anymore. Not everything is about new races, and there has been literally no connection made between the raid and a new race by anyone reputable, we call what you are doing a non-sequitur

Return to Ivalice and there's no connection? It's like looking at the stars and saying they're not part of our universe.
Viera exist in Ivalice, Ivalice is where we're going. There's a lot of connections.

Whether that means they'll be added or not no one knows. We are free to give our opinion on how we'd like to see Return to Ivalice introduce them though. That doesn't make it official, that makes it an opinion/theory.

Literally no connection between the raid and adding a new race. I never said viera weren't from Ivalice . Your post implied that going to Ivalice meant that we were getting an Ivalice race, which has been disproven A) through common sense (why would it have anything to do with 5.0 races?), and B) by demonstrating that the raid will be based on FFT lore, which doesn't feature Viera.
