On a related note I saw a lot of screen tearing during the benchmark. I probably get it in the game proper too. Any ideas on how to fix?

There's a VSynch option in the game that wasn't present in the benchmark for some reason.

What's your monitor resolution and refresh rate compared to your FPS? Try limiting your FPS to 60 from within the game if your run it on a 60hz monitor and see how it works

I think because the benchmark results rely on max FPS that a system can handle, as one of the factors for calculating score

Will check on all that at home. IIRC, I got a ~7200 score with a amd r9 380

That'd make sense to me. This is my first benchmark as I was stuck on console last time -w-;

I realized that there was no point in me having the poopy FXAA turned on anymore since i have a 2k monitor, turned that off and got like a thousand more on the next test.

Because you don't get a score over 9000 if it uses Vsync. The score is the number of frames it rendered.

Below is an i4770 with a GTX 1080 (non-ti) from a SSD

HD:


4K:


The HD version scores like 90fps while the 4K scores about 45fps.

Which is pretty much consistent with other peoples scores. If you get 9000+ at maximum settings, then anything over that is bonus. The game can be played on less if you want. eg at 4K you can turn anti-aliasing off because you'll rarely notice it making any significant difference.
