My friend had an issue like that, that is a lack of a SSD issue. She first put the benchmark on the secondary HDD and got 40+ sec, then she put it on the SSD and got 18 sec

Yeah, the game is installed on an ordinary hard drive, makes a huge difference.

Think with the Benchmark they're REALLY trying to emphasize DX11, since it doesn't have the option to change to DX9

Pretty much at this point it would be false advertisement if they did drop DX9. Maybe for 5.0 they'll start talking about it if they want to add in DX12 (or even DX13 if its around) support.

Do you have a lot running in the background? Multiple tabs, Discord and whatnot could be pulling you down a bit since the benchmark is purposely pushing the game much harder than normal.

Got 3,948 on my usual settings and 5,474 on 1280x720 windowed, which is higher than I was expecting. Ultimately the score doesn't mean much though.

Using the settings I already use in the game, I average about 25 FPS across the entire benchmark, except the two instances of fire particles at the start and the hunt boss with excessive ability spam later on which drops me to about 15 FPS. If I use the same settings but drop to 1280x720 windowed (which I'd then use Borderless Gaming to make full screen borderless windowed), I gain about 50% on both of those figures.

Pretty sure it's safe to say that Stormblood will run just fine, since those figures are artificially low due to benchmarks being artificially demanding. That all said, I'm getting a new computer within the next few months that will play the game on max settings with silky smooth 60+ FPS no matter what's going on ingame. Looking forward to Stormblood, going to be a helluva fun time for me.

maximum settings are a bit low. imported my current game settings (which were done with NVidia's optimizer) and got a little under 8000...

i just did a 4k run myself and got 9.6k maybe ffxiv likes intel more? altho i have overclocked my system quite a bit but that wouldnt make a difference of 8k at 1080p
