Looks like they're making a profit on it..but also not (you don't buy the game)..so it's really in a grey area currently, but it is blatant enough SE can step in.

They shut down a rom hack and video project of Chrono Trigger..they can shut something like this down, or at the least get them to redo sprites like the folks (person) who did Terraria basically had to change his sprites.

Yeah i remember that Chrono Trigger deal, but never heard about anything from Terraria.

Not really a gray area. The only time you can possibly get away with it is if no money is being made. That means no purchase, no subscription, no micro-transactions, not even advertising on the site.

I did the same thing. Their website is pretty ballsy with the stuff it borrows from Square Enix; the logo style, some of the mobs, some of the mounts, the materia system (LOL), the fact that they want me to pay them by converting my money to units of crysta... (What? It says wh- oh!) sorry, units of crystal.
