To the people that I helped in Chrysalis just a few moments ago: sorry I bailed out so quickly. I was a little distracted. But you guys did amazing. Even with someone LBing Nabriales and not the tear. Good job!

Why do tanks... Particularly PLDs think that its a good idea to sprint?
And why do NINs think that said PLDs deserve to be rewarded with goads?
Don't mind me over here out of tp because I was actually contributing to aoe DPS. Let his dumb self sit there and flash :/
-flops over-
On a happier note, TY to the little NIN that kept an eye on my TP in Dun Scaith earner... You were the bomb little guy~ It was a tough run, but I loved working along side you and everyone in the group.
Edit:
D; So just got out of an Expert roulette. Running for light as my DRG. It starts with the tank, A WAR, pulling the first group of mobs (Baelsar's wall) and they don't pull more. It doesn't bother me, but the healer starts poking at the tank and continuously telling them to pull more... Whiiiich was not a good idea. Tank is the least geared, and me and the BLM are fully geared. The tank looses aggro to me, the healer and the BLM. Still they listen to the healer, a WHM and try to pull more.
It goes ok, not smooth, but ok. Its quiet again till we get to the first boss.
I rip aggro, and only loose it cause the adds came down, and the BLM ends up with the boss.
The WHM starts berating the tank. Asks if their axe is broke or if this was just to be expected.
The BLM mentions that they're full 270, and the WHM starts telling them they should use quelling, and they get into a bit of a snark fest of explaining aggro and saying its a "complicated mechanic."
We wipe twice and the WHM goes on a rant saying things like "Do your job" "This is a fucking waste of time." Blah blah...
Its all just really hostile and I have a pit in my stomach.
The tank didn't say anything but I was getting uncomfortable.
Where they good? No... but they were CLEARLY out geared AND myself, the WHM and the BLM where all mentors.
I don't wear my crown, but they both had theirs on.
The BLM was kind enough to speak up and tell the WHM to calm down when he started to berate the WAR again about his positioning of one of the mob groups near the end.
I wish I would have spoke up... I did console the tank after everyone else left, but I wanted to say so much more... It was really upsetting, and I hope the tank isn't too discouraged.
It wasn't a clear run, but nothing to be mistreated over.

Had something crappy happen to me last night.
So I enter Dun Scaith as DRK and the other tank is main tanking so I contribute to DPS as per usual for these raids. It's a somewhat long run cause people keep dying left and right and their DPS is low and my DPS as tank is far higher than a lot of the DPS in the run. I don't mind however being as that's generally the norm and people might be new or whatever. Anyway, we get to Scathach and that's where a lot of whipes occur. I'm doing all the mechanics, contributing to DPS. For some reason the main tank dies so I immediately jump in, only to find out because I was going full on DPS, I can't keep hate after my provoke so I begin building up MP then swapping to my tank stance within 5-8 seconds. The healer in my party dies then gets agitated and I think might've cursed and ended up saying "tanks do your job" in a snarky way, I don't remember how exactly they said it but yeah.
I mean, I essentially was I just had next to no mp because I wasn't expecting the main tank to die, but good job Healer blaming the Tanks for that. I'm not sure what the other off tank was doing, but yeah. So essentially I had the hate at this point, and the previous main tank is like fighting with me (after he got raise) over who gets enmity so I turn around and let him take it back.
Eventually we win, I'm one of the few people that didn't die the entire run and here we are at Diabolos. Once again, contributing to DPS, doing all the mechanics, tanking the add when it appears, but holy crap people are dying left and right from not doing the mechanics. I'm also starting to DC mid fight about 2-3 times cause Comcast and Level 3 being crappy to me right at the end for some reason, but I log back in quickly. The main tank dies again, I tank the boss, then the main tank revives and comes back to get the boss from me (I'm not sure why when he's weakened and I'm not), but anyway, an add appears cause they didn't DPS the doors enough and I grab it instantly and the main tank dies again before this and the other off tank is tanking the boss. Add goes down, barely anyone alive at this point and then the off tank dies and right as this happens, I immediately provoke but I get DC'd again... then I come back I'm dead and we lose.
The healer immediately says "The tank must be stealing wi fi from a walmart connection" being a jerk and blaming me about the Healer Limit Break 3 not going off or something, when I don't know, maybe everyone else shouldn't be dying left and right and not doing mechanics? So I say "Or more like Level 3 and Comcast having issues with this game again" then I say something snarky back at him and he goes "Sure kid" and someone else goes "Okay." as if siding with the guy that is blaming me, despite me doing my job and contributing more DPS than most of the DPS.
So we start again and I do my opener, but shortly after my burst of DPS Comcast acts up again so I get annoyed and just restart the router, it takes a good 4-5 minutes and I hop back on, only to find out that petty little shite and the party removed me from the run. So I had my entire time of that whole Dun Scaith run putting up with other players being suboptimal and I'm doing as much as I can to try to make up for this and I get booted cause the Healer wants to find one person to blame for the entire alliance messing up. When this happened this also screwed me out of my weekly Ultima drop as it reset shortly after.
I can't believe people can be this jerkish.
So im guessing he wasnt highest DPS in the group. Im almost speachless. Thats the Aery - just doing his class quests should have given him 7 or 8 better spears at that point, let alone all the other ways you can get a weapon. If that isnt someone trolling you, then an intervention needs to happen. Either he needs to learn how important the weapon is to damage, or someone needs to point him to the glamour quest so he can keep the look he prefers and use something more level appropriate. Still... wow.
Christ on sale.... .___.
In other news, I decided that, since it was Tuesday, that I would go ahead and run Dun Scaith some. I need to do the Proto Ultima weekly, and I'm still trying to get some caster gear from there. >.> No luck yet, but hopefully soon. :> Most casters aren't greeding on them, I just have crap rolls.
Anyways, I thought "It's Tuesday. Reset. I'll have a good party. This will be a breeze."
I. Was. So. Incredibly. Wrong.
Deathgaze Hollow: Within the first Void Death, 2 of my party members were dead, one being my co-healer. Okay, happens sometimes. Maybe they're lagging. So I raise them both. Void Aero, another person dies because they stood in the center. Void Blizzard IV, people don't make it to the ice blocks, and get blown off (co-healer died again). Next Void Death, more people die. In short, I was the only party member that did not die, or have Weakness/Brink of Death. We hit the hard enrage because we just didn't have the DPS what with 80% of the alliance dying several times. Before the enrage went off, the only people alive were me and a DRG (ironically). We clear it the second time because people didn't die every 5 seconds this time.
Ferdiad: This fight actually went smoothly. Not nearly as many deaths, and people (more or less) followed mechanics. I think my co-healer was confused on the Dehabilitator mechanic though, because I would change them to fire (when we had Water Resistance Down), and they would run over and change them back to water. I think eventually they understood, because for the second one, they didn't do that.
Proto Ultima: Never so hard have I prayed for a Bole to spread to everyone. I really think it helped, honestly, because people didn't start dying until after the explosions/laser beam of death. Co-healer and I managed to keep people up most of the time though with Swiftcast+Medica and me using Lightspeed. However, we came pretty close to wiping... made it with 3 seconds to Supernova.
Scathach: I don't think I even have to say that we wiped to Scathach. Why did we wipe? People tried to burn her down instead of killing the add. He did Full Swing, mostly everyone died. I said in alliance chat, because a healer in A was alive, to raise one of B's healers because we had LB3. But they died so....that didn't happen. Our tank had called grabbing the add, but he died standing with the MT for one of the stacks, and the other tank didn't pick him up, so he just ran around stabbing people for a while. They said it was because their tank was dead, but I have my alliance lists up, and he was very much alive. We pull again, and barely clear by the skin of our teeth. I got killed by a hand; I was watching my co-healer (because they died A LOT), and I hit Essential Dignity right as my hand was about to die, so it took me down with it. But we still cleared, so...
Diabolos: Diabolos was fine. Nothing major happened in the first phase.
Diabolos Hollow: Oh boy...OH BOY. Well, first off, the MT died right after Diabolos' shield thingy dropped, and another tank took over. We DPS him like normal, doing mechanics (people actually stood in the meteors this time...I was shocked), but then, the red orbs begin to appear. And people decided that they were going to pop them. That didn't go well. The doors showed up, and everyone ignored the two Deathgates, so we ended up with two Hounds running around using the DPS as chew toys. I died because someone ran at me with the black ball things, and it just wrecked my life, even with me trying to Essential and shield myself.
By the time he was casting his ultimate, only myself, my co-healer, and two DPS were alive in our alliance. The others weren't much better off. I stoneskin'd/shielded myself and my co-healer, threw up Collective Unconscious, and just prayed we didn't die. I think we had about 2,000 health left, so we both Swiftcast Medica/Helios, and I went back to trying to raise some of the rest of our alliance after popping Luminiferous Aether, because my MP was running super dry. Earthshakers start, and people decide the place to stack with them is right down the middle of the alliance. So that takes out a couple people. People aren't stacking with each other, so then they die (of course, there weren't really enough people alive to survive the stack). I avoided stacking because we needed a healer to be alive.
Now, earlier in Scathach, we had explicitly said to SAVE THE LB3 until about 10% or so IN THE EVENT that we needed healer LB. We'd said this since we died on Deathgaze. Well, before his ultimate, one of our lovely BLMs decided to LB. Myself and others are shouting in chat to stop. And literally, about a minute later, everyone was dead except me (in our alliance). I didn't even try to run away from Diabolos as he took out the remaining people. Instead I typed in alliance chat "Hmmm. Really could have used that healer LB3. This might have been salvageable."
We pull a second time, and I don't know what is going on, but the tanks are doing something wrong. We didn't get dogs this time, but the MT (who was a different tank from the first one) died--of course--and ours died because I had raised them, and they sac'd themselves in the center meteor without any sort of cooldown or stoneskin. For a little bit, Diabolos was just floating around swatting at people until a tank picked him back up. We didn't get dogs this time, but, unfortunately, people still decided to pop the orbs. As in, they literally ran to them and popped them. My co-healer and I were getting knocked around from the explosions, and I tried to shield us the best I could. But my MP was low, and they had none. I fed them every Ewer I could draw. Eventually, we clear. But I was worse for wear by the end of it.
Addition: When someone accuses you of using the LB too late on Proto Ultima, resulting in using both LB2's on the Aetherial tower things, but you're one of the healers in the group. When same person calls you a dipshit for just explaining and elaborating on how to use LB2 on a tower, and allow the three towers to grant a new LB3 for Proto, and their friend calls you a troll, and then both get one-shot by Diabolos Hollow. lul

In all my runs of dun scathe I can prob count on my hands the number of great runs ha, I feel your pain. I admit when I run as a dps which Im not that great at some of those mechanics just seem to zap and kill you pretty easy. Running as a tank just seems so much easier, so sometimes Im like man my whole party is dead but one healer when Im tankin. But if Im dps Im like fighting for survival mood seems like the place comes after dps with a vengeance. And almost every run goes haywire when diablos starts crit hollowing its actually pretty funny so its always a treat going in to see what will happen in dun scathe lots of laughs.
60 roulette as a BLM. Gubal Hard! Joy. I'll be out of here in 15 minutes right?
Noooooooope.
DRK does min pulls only, and AST doesn't Royal Road anything and gives all the Balances to the DRK. ._. Top all that off I pull hate on every pull despite active usage of Quelling Strikes. So I'm tanking half the run with Manawall. Okay, we can manage this.
Fast forward to Strix. Nobody stands in the black puddle for Tornado, then both the tank and the healer die to meteor. Wipe. Second try people still eat tornado (and quake!) and the tank once again dies to meteor despite pleas from the MNK. I'm tanking again! Healer res'd the tank who... doesn't voke off me? Okay. Guess your Level 60 PLD is just for show. I die but the boss does too shortly after. I walk out with three comms after 30 minutes.
Player
And I thought I was annoyed when the AST in my Pharos Sirius HM run gave continuous Extended Balances to the other BLM and refused to give me a single card for the entire run. I think I might have lost it if I'd run into this AST. Just reading this already makes my blood boil.
