I love being a tank

So i was doing a expert roulette and got into a solm al hard dungeon

at the start it was a normal party, everyone was greeting eachother

then i did the first pull

i do nice and easy type pulls by the way

the healer speaks up and says " you know you can pull the entire zone right ?"

i said yeah, i know that, i just personally like to do nice and easy pulls

the healer says " i can tell " then says " did you level paladin in palace of the dead"

i can feel the insults brewing in this person , so i shocked them and said no, i leveled paladin to 60 doing dungeons my first time

the rage was on , probably from disbelief that there is tanks who actually do nice and easy pulls, yep i am one of them

the healer then complains that i watched the final bosses cut scene lol in which i replied

I do not skip any written dialog or cut scenes this game has

So if your a tank who likes nice and easy pulls and doesnt skip any written dialog or cut scenes, give this post a +1 and lets show these haters we like to rock and roll

Sadly, reporting them does nothing. GMs deem it "playstyle," which allows people to literally do the barest of minimums and still get a pass. All you'll be told is to leave or kick the person.

You're nicer than I would have been though. I'd just keep asking "did you die? No? Then hows about you let me, the healer, worry about the damage?" And if he stood in the aoes, I'd purposely let him die and make him witness how I we don't actually need a tank for most dungeons.

Why would someone as a dps load their entire right side with i270 dun scaith drops, their entire left side with i245 filibuster gear, and then only equip an ilevel 190 weapon? Their dps in EX roulette was so low as a result that you can consider my mind boggled.

Kinda spamming Dun Scaith because 1. I want that minion, and 2. trying to get some pieces for my DRK and BLM/SMN (and eventually RDM).

Anyways, my last run...I had the best alliance I've ever had in that run. There were a few deaths, but nothing my co-healer and I couldn't handle. They were the best co-healer I've ever been paired with (that wasn't a friend or FC mate). So shout out to all of them!

And the absolute best part was, during Scathach, I drew 6 Balances in a row. I was already holding one, and was wanting to spread it before the adds showed up, but the Heart of the Cards apparently had other things in mind. XD So I just went down the list of our DPS, giving each a Balance. Because, if I can't spread it to all 8 members, I like to at least give each of the DPS a chance at getting their own Balance. To be nice, and to be fair. :3

Little bickerment happened after Ferdiad that I thought was hilarious though, in the extremely petty way duty finder bickerments usually are.
The boss was at 3%, and no one had used our LB3, so the BRD in our alliance used it. Can't say I blame them because the boss literally died maybe 15 seconds after they LB'd, and we would have lost it anyways. Well, someone from another alliance speaks up in alliance chat: "Please save the LB3 for the melee DPS."

I responded with: "The boss was almost dead. It doesn't really matter who used it now. :s"
They replied: "It's so typical of bards. Get over your LB already."

Uhm. Okay. I give melee until 10% to use LB3 when I run on my BRD. If they don't use it by then, I do. Because it might as well be a BRD using it than no one using it at all. I don't know why people get their undies in such a twist over this. Especially since that wasn't even their LB3. None of our melee really cared who used it, I don't think. An LB was an LB to them. And some agreed that BRD LB3 is one of the coolest LBs around. ;3 Because it is. ;3


EDIT: Second run with a second AMAZING GROUP. Everyone was so chill and funny. It was great. I wish I could have comm'd everyone, but I gave mine to the BRD because they played me lots of songs. :3 If any of you guys see this, you are all awesome. Please stay that way.

Tank DRK is really lovely, does the biggest pulls

After 1st boss, while riding on that platform, I see a vote kick commenced for my fellow DD (MNK), I vote no since the reason was 'harassment'

The healer then proceeds to say one of the stupidest things I've ever heard 'the garbage needs to be kicked and learn how to play the game'

I ask him if this is because of the MNK's DPS (1st timer, not BiS 270 gear, there is probably 1k dps difference, up to 3k if on adds, you get the picture), and he has the gut to respond and say yes.

Long story short, the healer was the one who got dispatched and we finished the dungeon without any issues as the MNK was doing their best, and we got another healer fairly quickly.

If I already am carrying the DPS, maybe you should just shut up and do your job instead of flaming someone and being toxic to them for no reason at all.

A hug with MNK and 2 commendations later, I never felt better about kicking someone C:

stories about healers being blamed for doing dps

big difference is, that I didnt get blamed for doing damage,but for specifically using Blizzard II which is our highest potency at lvl 50 when theres at least 2 mobs.
It's like he thought it was insanity to have Blizzard II cross-skilled. (I use Aero and Blizzard II both, so I skip on Stoneskin...because NEEDS MOAR DEEEEEPSSSS)

He even ACKNOWLEDGED the fact that its more dps ("yeah but only a 100 more or so"), but STILL probably felt that im overdoing it for a dungeon or something.
I did not report this case because you never know, Í might end up being the evil one for asking the drg to put more effort.

I do report in other cases though. We once PF'ed for Zurvan EX, and we kept wiping, one major reason being that one guy dced multiple times during the fight.
So after several wipes I simply pointed out that "I'm sorry but this wont work with your connection, you'll have to leave"
to which he replied "lol I know" and then "b*tch" which he justified by saying I was rude.

So yeah. I told that guy right away that Im gonna report him for that and that the only thing being rude is for how long he stuck around despite knowing his connection was messed up,
wasting everyone's time.

If you get kicked, well it would fall under that. But the Moment... People Insult you with hard Words like : ... Bit** / Sl** / Piece of **** and others, is already a hard case and falls under the Catigory Harrassement.
True, most Story Dungeons can be done without a Tank, as example I once did a Vault Run with a DRG / BRD / MCH and AST, true we had our "Oh-Shit" Moments, yet it wasnt Impossible to complete.

If you give Advice out and People either take it or not is a different case, well in the end that can't be really Reported if you did it in a nice manner.
Though, if you "would", like they did and throw out Words like that, it's definitely Punishable and growing a thicker Skin has nothing to do with that anymore but rather, the Person just has a Grudge against someone in that case.

In the End you were better as you simply tried your best and People didn't Appreciated that Fact, which is Sad in these times.

Trust me, the Moderation on the Forum and Ingame already punishes People for the simple Word "F*ck", as it literally has no Place in the Chat at all.
