Ever see a whm holy spam, aero3 assize? 3k dps on trash easily.

Just wanna add to it, yeah if a Healer is on their A game and as are the DPS/Tank with avoiding and mitigating a healer in cleric stance can help out immensely in speeding up a run.

As for the topic of dot limit, I am hoping they fix the display as well. While I can work with it, some classes like BRD I may think I got my Iron Jaws off in time only to look and see 1 dot re-applied. Perhaps the revamp could make such skills look like buffs for us in a way? Obviously not boosting but just showing how much of a dot remains if we choose if they can't increase the visual display on the mob.

yesterday I have one of the most hilarious DF
since the cap of Dun Scaith, it is flood with all kind of players
my first DF run cant even get pass first boss because players are dying left and right
after first wipe, I got kick by a Bard who die more than 3 times to mechanics, who accuse me miss the DPS LB and lead to the wipe
got another party within 1 minute and we run it smooth as silk
i wasnt even mad but feel hilarious that usually the bad apple cry loudest

Queued into Chrysalis with a WHM that refused to use Medica, Medica II, Regen, Stoneskin II, or Swiftcast. Only thing they did was Cure II and hard raise.

Basically I solo healed the whole thing as Noct Sect AST, and not being a healer main it was a bit stressful.

Also, 0 comms at the end. Amazing.

Tanked a Dun Scaith where my group had 1 bard and 4 casters. The bard wasn't the highest dps but I didn't care because he had foes running almost all the time and always gave me warden's paean right after I used beserk without ever asking for it. I guess, my expectations are set so low that a bard actually using his skills impresses the hell out of me. At the end, I was pretty much telling the group to give him the commendations.

Wait, you're actually claiming that healer DPS from 1 healer can create a 25-40% shorter runtime in an instance? Either those healers are freaking miraculous players who can out DPS the 1% of DPS who are perfect, or you're exaggerating mightily.

I'll give you some *overall* dps numbers from my expert run earlier:

BRD 2000~ dps
BLM 2000~ dps
WHM (me) 1500~ dps
PLD 1000~ dps


And those DPS were decent. Some DPS couldve pulled 2500-3000 dps.
But the standard DPS derps nowadays bring like 800-1000 dps to the table, making me easily first in dps.
During big pulls, I also easily hit 3000-5000 dps. But it slows down during bosses, making me do an overall average of about 1500ish dps.

Still have doubts? Then youve never met a single good healer or the other dps were bad ... :/

Holy -> Aero III -> Swiftcast -> Holy -> Assize -> moar Holy Spam until adds are low on health or not many mobs left -> Stone III and finishing mobs off with Fluid Aura and Aero....

As a WHM, i can truly be a +1 free dps to the party. Trust me. it's not miraculous. So yes, a good healer will easily speed up your run by a lot.

I just got out of a run where a SMN quite literally did nothing for the first half of the run except move when absolutely necessary. The rest of their time was spent idling away in random locations trying to look busy. Hint: running around doing nothing isn't helping anyone and you're not fooling anyone either. By the second boss, I'd had enough, and part way through I piped up with, "SoandSo, if you aren't going to contribute you will be kicked." They continued to not lift a single finger and once the boss was a down, my fellow party members were of a similar mindset thankfully, and we unceremoniously tossed him on outta there.

Honestly, I'd rather deal with someone dying and at least trying than someone attempting to leach their way through. I sincerely hope others don't stand for this, either.

Can confirmed. I have outdone DPS before on White Mage. Although, the one caveat that should be mentioned is you'll only average 1,500+ DPS if one of the other DPS sucks. A good Summoner? Yeah, no. You'll float roughly around 1k because Summoner aoe is complete insanity. Point still stands though, healer DPS contributes significantly.

Some times healers can be top DPS, and essentially carry the party. Last week I had 3 separate dungeons where I was the top DPS on my AST. May have Gravity to thank for that, but still. I shouldn't be siting at the top of the list consistently for the entire run as a healer. ._. And while I'm buffing the DPS with Arrows and Balances most of the time!!!

One of them was Baelsar's Wall, and one DPS (NIN) had the i260 relic. Their Trick Attack only hit for a little over 4k. My Malefic II hit for harder than his TA. I don't know what the heck they were doing, because they weren't severely undergeared, but they were doing something terribly wrong. The BLM was about 800 DPS, but of course they never used Enochian, and therefore never used a single Fire IV. The WAR in the group only did about 600 DPS. Never left Defiance. Never used a single Fell Cleave. v.v And they weren't squishy at all. I barely had to heal them outside of the first pull and the tankbusters in the boss fights. And with those two DPS...there was no way they would have ripped hate from him. ._. It was bad. So, so bad. The run took a little over 30 minutes, and I hated every agonizing second of it.

But yeah. Don't underestimate the power of healer DPS.

Horror story where I goofed up DF last night and it only cost me:

Running through the Relic Reborn stuff, and I do the Amdapor Keep step. Next up, Hydra. I queue Hydra and forget I still had the box checked for Amdapor. It's late, I've had drinks, yadda yadda. So I try to "undo" being in the Amdapor group that pops and I am hitting buttons and getting frantic...and I abandon the Relic Reborn quest somehow and have to restart from scratch.

Yes, I have only used DF a few hundred times, so it makes perfect sense I'd randomly forget how to use it. And well, I guess I needed practice on the first 5 steps of Relic Reborn, so why not do them all again.
