Actually they have none, for you cannot prove anything you just said, anymore that he canthis moron just goes on about everything and nothing, then when he FINALLY gets to his rant about FFXIV, he essentially states the game will die because it is pay 2 play, then has the audacity to state that Pay 2 play has it's place among MMOs, even notes that KOTOR is p2p. basically, he stated the game is garanteed to die because SE is going to start charging, completely ignoring the fact that FFXIV was always intended to be p2p, then reveals that he is not at all biased by showing how much he favors KOTOR, even praising it for having essentially the same subcription model.
In short: ignore the stupid talking head, he isn't even remotely unbiased in his opinions.
DO I think the game will die? not at all. First, anyone who bought the game is most likely well aware that the game was p2p, so this guy's opinon on the subject is pretty much irrelevant. Second, SE has pretty much revealed thier plans to recreate the game over the next year, that alone will keep people playing, since they can literally turn the reboot into a major in-game event. In addition, there have been many players who left, then returned after 1.19 was released, and based on my own observations, we have been getting an influx of new players regardless of the announcment of the end of the free play period. All three reasons have more credebility than some critic who demonstrated his complete lack of knowledge on the subject for all the interwebs to see.

Having bit the hand that feeds his lalafell, polyhedral proceeds to go back to playing his thaumaturge. What's with all of the rabid fanboyism displayed in this community? It makes me want to forget all about this game, it's disgusting!
Your justifications and nonsense enabling bad decisions constantly is ruining something that had potential at one point..
You guys will A-OKAY ANYTHING APPARENTLY while bashing even worse than the people you are speaking out against.... Sick, sick, sick...
Some of you are so lost and blind, well, it's really sad. But what does me or my opinion matter to such people? I'm not going to pretend I hang out here 24/7, so I'll just leave for good, I suppose.
Enjoy??? (I wonder if you can actually...)
Thank the twelve he has these forums, otherwise he would have to resort to kicking red puppies with their tails lit on fire just to keep convincing himself he's part of the in group that plays games they don't like.
just look at his basic info on his profile, he was butt hurt from day one, says he never got his Certificate that he was to get with the CE, you know our mail system sucks right?
every one here is whit knighting, or fanboys....... never heard anything so ridiculous. Completly missing the point that many of us have said, "yes we see the game was pretty messed up pre-1.9 and it still has a lot to go before 2.0 and the reboot" but as of right now we are enjoying what we have, and willing to pay the $12 (or what ever the fee is, without extra characters or retainers)

agree i read just bout every post on here and its sad that they twist this guys words and bash him, its even worse how they treat the players who agree with him. i think there is a reason why just bout every mmo site gives ffxiv bad reviews. but it would be a opinion. and opinions get trolled around here. That is main reason SE does not get the info they realy need. its overshadowed by the trolls that have to argue with anyone elses opinion. What's with all of the rabid fanboyism displayed in this community? anyways onto my opinion. he made very valid points that this is wrong time to start charging for subs. this game will have to compete for subs against alot of games coming out in the next year. they might run alota peeps off by charging. they might not. this is for sure tho. charging subs now wont bring in anyone new. and anyone that it sends away will proly try one other the up and coming titles that might not get such bad reviews from every mmo site.
I just convinced a friend of mine to start playing. I told him about subs but he said he was excited about the game because of all he read.agree i read just bout every post on here and its sad that they twist this guys words and bash him, its even worse how they treat the players who agree with him. i think there is a reason why just bout every mmo site gives ffxiv bad reviews. but it would be a opinion. and opinions get trolled around here. The bad reviews this game got from gaming sites are a year old. Have you played this game recently? It's totally different! He made zero valid points. He put on a half-constipated face and ranted about the game dying because people won't want to pay. That's not a valid point, it's conjecture at its poorest. Then he went on to talk about Star Wars and how much juice will spew forth from his phallus.
People are not twisting his words. His words are twisted.

Bold: Ok. Leave. Bye.
It's not "totally different." There is still no simple party search function. The UI is still server-side which causes menu lag and lag when you go to sell things. There still is very little content.I just convinced a friend of mine to start playing. I told him about subs but he said he was excited about the game because of all he read.

The only obvious things different from now and launch are:
Slower 1-20 leveling
No fatigue
Choco and airship
More missions.
More quests that really serve no purpose lore-wise.
Behest changes.
Levequest timer changes.
Ifrit.
3 Dungeons.
Auto attack.
NMs that respawn so fast they might as well be normal mobs.
Someone who played at launch and then started again today would likely only notice these things. Don't fool yourself and think everyone is going to believe this is a "totally different" game when it's not. 2.0, yes. 1.19, no. It's miles ahead of what it was at launch, but that's not saying much. The content in the game right now still isn't enough to justify launching with.
I'm not fooling myself. I've had plenty of linkshell buddies who came back and said that the game is totally different. Hell, I came back fullforce into the game about a month ago. 1.18 changed this game. 1.19 built upon that momentum. It's not "totally different." There is still no simple party search function. Simple party search is coming in 1.20, which is when they're going to start charging.
There IS very little content... at level 50. But my question was, if you start now, would you think that there's not a ton of content? Once again, citing linkshell buddies, one of them told me he was overwhelmed with how much there is to do that he could hardly decide his next step.
The UI lag is only mildly annoying. I'm way too laid back to care.
Yeah same here, and I have a few coworkers that left a long time ago, that are starting to get interested again by what I have been showing them, no one is fooling themselves or being "blind fanboys" we see the changes, and see what is coming ahead, and are willing to take the chance.

So that whole video was an opinion? not some jackass trying to throw out some false facts? Even read the title of the video? Because supposedly, charging for subs is IMMINENT DEATH of the game. Oh but doesnt he know that 2.0 is going to happen regardless?agree i read just bout every post on here and its sad that they twist this guys words and bash him, its even worse how they treat the players who agree with him. i think there is a reason why just bout every mmo site gives ffxiv bad reviews. but it would be a opinion. and opinions get trolled around here. See what I mean? He doesn't know how to open up a freakin pdf file for goodness sakes.
I would have expected more from you irongripz, but if you aren't as bad as gamderp TV guy, then you are possibly worse.
Oh, and thats my opinion of you, you have no rights to bash it, so don't reply because I wont listen.
(This is how to throw an opinion with an iron fist.)
Remember kiddos, some points may be valid, but if you don't see the big picture, you are pretty blind. Its too easy to see that this guy is promoting another game.

What are you smoking???? Not only are those not the only changes, the changes and adds you listed arent even the good ones!!!!!!!
Mob stat adjustment for fun parties? XP chains? Mob PLACEMENT changes so we could do that?
Materia???? Seriously theres about 5000 things and you list some short change list like that?
I quit and hated this game at launch, I would come back once for 15 minutes every patch and go this is bs, its still the same game, and I would log out, especially after the leve XP adjustment.
After this last patch the game is finally fun and things are starting to meld together.
Now that there is something fun to do (XP parties) all the other things they added in the past year I actually feel like doing for once. Its GREAT.
Now I just need an estate that i can invest about 500 hours into hooking up so when people come in they go whats that, how do i get those, how hard is it to get this. Bwhahahha.
This game is getting epic, go get an XP party and try to actually LEARN about it before you write the whole game off trying to solo.
FF14 is not a solo game anymore cept for economy.
