    i am more concern about, that SE still sticks to the Holy trinity part. I would enjoy making BRD and MCH aswell as RDM the new Supporter Roles, sure let them still do DMG, but give the whole Battlesystem more Attention, open up supporter Roles will add more depth into the Game and could Change the DPS Meta we have now. just 2 Cent.

    ps.: If the holy trinity remains the same, sooner or later some classes will feel the same as others. Just a question of time. ^_^

    Disappointed? Yes. Do I understand/accept the reasoning given, yes. As a result I am happy to withhold judgement till I see the revamp of the skill system.

    I'd love to see more support related roles but as the current system stands introducing more actual support class/play will likely only alienate classes like whm that are ultra specialists. I'd like to see more flexible group line ups in all content including DR. If whm could potentially shine in an area of solo healing an 8 man while allowing for an extra dps or having two healers for safety with slightly lower combined dps perhaps there might be a point to being a whm again. Without revamping whm significantly or nerfing sch & ast significantly whm will remain on the sidelines.

    I know this stuff is hard to balance, I'm happy to see less variety for now in favour of the variety we have being equally desirable. Of course if that variety suddenly disappears & it's all just cosmetic well that would be bad too.

    Eh. Would probably be boring but every dps minus bard/machinist should be given one generic utility and let the main difference between jobs be aesthetics. Oddly casting a cure spell and casting a spell called physick feels different even though they arent.

    As a healer, I'm not disappointed at all. In fact I was relieved that there were no tanks or healers, partially because I want to play samurai and don't like tanking, but mainly because I don't think we need more tanks and healers. I feel like the more types of tank and healer you add, the harder the game is going to be to balance. For instance, if you make a healer that deals damage to heal, then that healer is likely to either become the de facto best healer (because it does more DPS than the others while still healing adequately) or useless (because it doesn't have enough healing to keep up with existing content). DPS, on the other hand, seem much easier to balance. As long as they deal approximately the same amount of damage, the game will still work.

    The problem this game has with adding new classes is that so much content already exists. For example, if they did add a support role and go to a five-person party, they'd have to redesign literally every single boss in the entire game for the different party makeup. (Well, that or start support jobs at a high level and not let them do low-level content at all, I suppose). Every tank and healer added has to be able to slot in to every existing fight, which limits how different they can be from one another. To me, three of each seems like enough.

    Disappointed and I don't buy the excuses given as a reason to not having new tank/healer jobs. If the percentage of tank players didn't increase after DRK was added then find a way to increase it, not tell us that tanks are a static number and thus we will not add any more tanks.

    The problem with this is it can get dull playing the same class continuously. Frankly at this stage I am seriously thinking of taking a break from AST and WHM simply because I have played both so much they feel dull now. Maybe the level change and new abilities will change that but its still not the same has having something new to play.

    Healers and tanks shouldn't be that fundamentally difficult to balance compared to dps. Other games manage it fine. WoW has like 6 healing specs and 6 tanking specs. If balancing is that hard, there is an issue with the meta.

    After AST, no. I like AST, but they need to take the time to really think about how to get creative with a new healer and not copy/paste.

    To see it from another perspective... 3tanks and 3healer classes is, already, one could say, alot. If you think about it. Adding another tank and another healer? So you have what, 4 tanks and 4 healer types? No. 3 is already 1 more than what id call to be the norm in your average rpg! Having 3 tanks/healers is already enough to work with in this game believe me. That is enough to go about, of course they need to mix them up, so they each have a unique thing about them. It is perfect that they now add 2 dps. Overall that is nice balance. Now they need to make support roles more viable, and not just a gimp dps. And more... uniqueness to each job? So they each have something to bring.

    Nah.

    I main a Tank job, but not because I love Tanking in this game. I love the Paladin archetype. New tanks wouldn't excite me for that reason.
